  1. Well its different from the usual trucker mistake threads we usually have here. https://twitter.com/BBCDorset/status/578265168934760448/photo/1
  2. They were working on the clearance work around the 1 1/2 milepost today.
  3. I would love the wtt if you still have it JB
  4. A far as I know the line is all wooden sleepers and the whole lot would need to be replaced.
  5. Even before the line was disconnected in Limerick no trains were allowed past Ballingrane due to structural condition of Robertstown
  6. One possible saving grace when it comes to cost is that it only needs to restored as a freight line, if its 25mph all the way it doesn't really matter but there could be a number of bigger financial costs like Roberstown viaduct.
  7. If you drop us a PM on the facebook page we should be able to sort you out an A4 copy https://www.facebook.com/RPSIDublin

Unfortunately due to the size and weight they will be €8 each to post (except A history of the steam train workhorse which is €5) If you buy more than one there may be savings on combined postage Alternatively they can be collected Limerick city.
  11. It might be simpler to get planning permission for a real railway
  12. price is a bit steep http://www.ebay.ie/itm/LIMA-205159-IE-CIE-IRISH-RAILWAYS-CLASS-201-LOCO-216-RIVER-DODDER-MINT-BOXED-nc-/331422674305?ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:IE:3160
  13. I am pretty sure (assuming this is the same as most other forums I use) you cant copy and paste a table from word into a post but you can create a table in a post manually using the table button. An alternative here might be to attach the word document to the post.
  14. I think this one tops the lot Irish Rail at 18:14
  15. They are all on youtube, just search "Train spotting tv series 1 or 2"
  16. Still some tickets left on Nov 29th and Dec 8th for anybody interested Times for anybody interested Notes: The last movement each day from Pearse to Connolly is an empty movement and may operate early / later
  17. I could see a RTR bubble being hugely popular, particularly if the price is right.
  18. Actually (I may be alone here) I would like to see Murphy's Models lower the bar a little, NOT in terms of the physical quality but scale back a little say with the inclusion of a speaker. Sure it's nice to have it if you want sound but I would prefer it to be an option to fit one later for those that want it and reduce the cost of the model in the first place.
  19. In principal I have no objection to pre paying for a model but there would need to be a lot more confirmed details before I actually commit money. For myself I have five main concerns / questions 1. What Model / Livery 2. What price 3. Quality control 4. Risk of failure 5. Who is running the show / producing the model
  20. I used green mineral felt as an underlay before, it looks ok on OO gauge would would be more at home on O gauge. It does have some affect on sound damping but as I have never used cork before I cant compare them. I found the best way to fix it to the base board was using hot glue.
  21. Just spotted this, I have no idea how good it is but for £2.92 (about €4) I figured it might be worth a shot http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rolson-Tools-60335-Helping-Magnifying/dp/B001BMSBD4/ref=sr_1_18?ie=UTF8&qid=1415706515&sr=8-18&keywords=magnifying+glass
  22. Ya the yards and sidings would be off limits to passengers so I guess it would have to be on a platform and platform availability varies a lot depending on where you want to stay and what time you want to leave in the morning. As for stations staying open I would guess that they would have to pay IE to have the relevant station manned all night?? or maybe they are planning a late departure from one location and slow move to another??
