  1. Yes, we seem to be going over this over and over again. Can we not go down this road yet again please?
  2. Kader industires own Bachmann as well as some other brands. The 141 was commissioned by PM for Bachmann to produce. The 071 was subsequently commissioned by PM for Kader to make directly. All Bachmann stock is made by Kader it's just PM developed closer relations with the parent company by the time the 071 was being made.
  3. The 071s were also made by Kader so the same people who made the 141.
  4. Nice one Dave, looks a bit rough but could be built into a nice model in the right hands.

    Nice job!
  6. About that I think, I lost count after about 60. If you check my youtube channel (link is below) there are a few other videos. I'm sure A4Mallard will post a couple new ones himself too when he finds the time too.
  7. Brought down my replacement Hattons Garratt for a run around the other day. Enjoy!
  8. Cheers Noel, actually meant to stick that link up for the video on the site and forgot! The Garratt rake would be prototypical in length, they tended to run very long trains. We were just having a bit of fun and testing haulage ability on the two locos though, see what they can do on big gradients. Both performed very well although the Garratt is a bit tempermental at times.

  10. Lovely pics josefstadt, thanks for sharing. RW Carroll posts up some gems on flickr of UK and occasionally Irish stuff. I think he buys slides up from collections and EBay.
  11. You start this thread, get the answer (or cannot wait to get the right answer) so you go and start a new thread anyway!?! http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/4110-Ebay-tread Merged into the EBay Watch thread, where it should be!
  12. 'EBay Watch' is the Ebay thread. If you see something on EBay that you want to share on the site you post it as a reply there. It keeps everything together then. There is no point in starting a new thread every time you see something different on EBay. Simples.
  13. You cant find the thread that you have posted on before? http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/58-eBay-Watch/page60
  14. Cheers for the well wishes lads. A year older but not much wiser sadly!
  15. Now that does look nice. The 201 will look well when it's finished to the same spec.
  16. Happy Christmas one and all and all the best for 2015.
  17. Stick to code 100 everything if you want to run Lima. They'll bounce on the sleepers on code 75.
  18. If I can refer you to rule four Noel, no politics please. Thanks. We would ask all new members to please read the rules and familiarise yourselves with them for future reference. http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/79-Website-Guidelines-Rules
  19. I would be but neither of them appeal to me. Two class 71s on the other hand? Kerosene Castle and an 89 please! On the other hand at least you have a choice between two and hopefully the competition will drive both of them to be the best they can possibly be. And yes, a nice A class would be nice but we have gone over that ground so much recently, let's not trod down that path yet again!
  20. Yep, renowned for asking stupid money for *****. Gets a lot of sales though mind you. And people thought that Wrenneire charges too much!
  21. Should be instructions in the box too. Bachmann instructions are quite good, very easy to read and self explanatory.
  22. When the loco doesnt run correctly or makes any loud or grinding noises. If it runs properly then no worries. Pretty straightforward I would've thought. If you dont trust yourself to do the right thing then take them to your local model shop and they'll do it for you.
