  1. So it's been many months since I uploaded anything. Today's fun has been fitting the many detail parts, chipping and ultrascale wheel sets to a couple of vitrains locos.
  2. Top notch work. Really enjoying your build!
  3. Just wondering why there was a few missing parts Brian; was the kit second hand or was it a mistake by park side? They're usually quite good. Must pick a few up myself.
  4. Having travelled on virgin voyagers in the UK we struck it lucky with the ICRs. I miss loco hauled as much as the rest of us but from a passenger point of view I can't fault them.
  5. Good to see some senior scale, nice work!
  6. Fair enough Tom, it's just that you said that things were getting worse in your view, I just misunderstood you. It can be tough juggling family life and the hobby as well as a career. Best of luck with it and we look forward to seeing the project. All the best.
  7. Hi Tom, Very sorry to see you go. Always enjoyed your contributions and your sense of humour. The door is always open to come back and if you want to discuss the issues you feel are occurring that you feel are affecting things please feel free to contact any of the mod team and we'd be happy to work to improve things. We're always looking for feedback from members. All I will say is that it's worth remembering that there are two sides to every story. Cheers, Fran
  8. I was expecting to see a man in Laois in 4mm scale. Anyway... These might be be of use if they do a model that isn't already available in 4mm scale and a suitable chassis is available.
  9. I sure do, Bren has his own youtube channel too with great videos of his previous layouts as well as the new one http://www.youtube.com/user/a4mallardie/videos http://www.youtube.com/user/franburke/videos
  10. Cheers man!

    So they were kitbashed?
  12. A damn fine looking tractor all the same. Would go a long way to find a nicer looking tractor (apart from maybe a Muir HIll, but a city slicker like me wouldn't know anything about those yokes!)
  13. Pity so little of it will be Irish outline Cheers for the info lads, will continue the research!
  14. Thanks man, I have done some reading on it and have a kit or two ready to go. I guess I'm just one of those muppets who needs to see someone do it before it all sinks in! Looking at the stuff George is posting on his workbench with serious envy! The end result always looks worth the effort, and the brass finish with a nice paint job looks a million dollars.
  15. An original A or C class one would be very nice, not to mention one for a Sulzer.... (should any of the aforementioned exist, which I'm sure they must do in some form?)
  16. That's pretty reasonable in fairness. Cheers Eoin. Now all I need is somewhere to put all this and to work as well as some nice citizen to show me how to solder brass kits together properly and I'll be laughing!
  17. They're damn expensive mind you. What about the forthcoming SSM kit? Would that be suitable?
  18. Ebay is a magical place Seamus!
  19. Cheers for the info guys. Did you pay much in postage Eoin? Would imagine it would be heavy enough?
  20. Superb stuff as always David. How much is the rivet press?
  21. Interesting Kirley, especially the concept of the Scottish Modellers group. I suppose similar work is going on here, just in a slightly different way!

Great photos Gordon, thanks for sharing. Great to see these insider photos. Sad all the same.
  23. Railway Roundabout...
  24. I was hoping for Marklin myself.
  25. Aha, you learn something new every day.
