  1. Just goes to show there are always more treasures out there to find Dave, keep raiding those attics!
  2. Just the one from me. 141 operating manual
  3. You'd be having sleepless nights about it
  4. Bachmann do a well wagon but I have a feeling it's too short for that. http://www.ehattons.com/38617/Bachmann_Branchline_33_879A_45_Ton_bogie_well_wagon_in_LNER_grey_with_boiler_load/StockDetail.aspx
  5. Stunning!
  6. Wrenneire, Garfield, Kirley and myself paid a visit to Downpatrick yesterday in some truly horrific weather and enjoyed a guided tour of the facilities and stock from the great bunch of volunteers there. As most things were in dark sheds and tight spaces taking pics was difficult. Anyway, pick of the bunch are now on my Flickr! http://www.flickr.com/photos/77496544@N07/
  7. Looks fab on the layout, was lucky to have a glimpse of her in person today and it looks amazing. Good to see you today Kieran.
  8. Nice one! Should be nice and heavy to haul a decent load.
  9. Care to elaborate?
  10. only $140 odd on Amazon! Thankfully someone rode to my rescue. Thanks for the help everybody!
  11. Cheers man but has since been sourced! I will hit them up for future book sales (and the IRRS, who I need to ask many many questions!)
  12. Get Des to stick the commission cheque in the post!
  13. Hi guys, As the title suggests I'm after Great Northern Irish Railway Pictorial by Tom Ferris. If anyone can help send me a PM! Thanks!
  14. Great stuff, thanks for sharing Ivan!
  15. Got a quick look at the Sandite Unit at York Road yesterday. It actually looks quite well in yellow in the flesh. I quite like it! Anyone going to model it?
  16. Superb find Eamonn. Duly followed on Flickr!
  17. Photos of anything interesting please!
  18. This popped up on my subscriptions page today. All those freights, wagon variety, A Classes, TPOs! Them were the days. Eiretrains - I salute you!
  19. Only comes with a circle of track? Odd on a set with that much stock I would've thought?
  20. No problem mate. If you were ever in Dublin you could drop it into Marks Models on Hawkins st and Jim would have a look at it for you.
  21. You could buy spares from a Hornby 50 and transplant them into the Lima 50 underframe (including bogie spares) if you want a central can set up. This might prove a useful guide (okay it's a 31, but the concept would be the same. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/19369-brush-type-2-re-birth-judgement-day/ Alternatively the units we discussed recently would work in a Lima 50. What's gone wrong with it? Is it the motor itself? Did you clean the wheels and pick-ups? Are the gears damaged? Loose wires/connection? http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/2800-Cost-effective-remotor-options-for-the-Lima-201?highlight=lima
  22. Looks great Tom, exciting times!
  23. The profile is a lot different. It would look better if you used plastic sheeting and a lot of filler or even cut an MIR body up.
  24. Not just me, the three complaints the mod team received about your use of excessive capital letters. Let's not play silly beggars. We're all adults at the end of the day
  25. It really benefits locos that have a real base rumble in real life. For instance, I've heard a Deltic and a Class 56 with bass reflex and it puts them on a whole other level. I think the one loco here that would really benefit from them would be the 071s. The 201s are much quieter and the big silencer seems to take the bass out of the sound.
