  1. Would it be possible to post a picture of it next a 141 or 071 to get a idea of the size of it? Just like to see how it sits next to a MM loco height wise.
  2. That's a big thing that I noticed that makes them look so much better. Alot of models seem to have undersized buffers and it takes from the final look so much. It's the white metal buffers on the SSM 42ft flat kit that really makes it for me. Those buffers would look great on the MM Cravens.
  3. Take a bow lads:tumbsup: Truly stunning, the shape is captured perfectly. Really can't wait now. That's an amazing amount of detail. I can see the remaining packs selling out even faster now.
  4. And they haven't even announced what Project 3 is yet. Hoping for the Tara wagons myself.
  5. And of course the livery/era options one might assume?
  6. I wouldn't get my hopes up. They look to be doing just what they did to Northwall, Hollyhead and Midlands yards, selling off land so apartment blocks can be built. I'd feel happier about news to re connect North Esk yard back to the mainline. Actually reading more into it in the report, it might hold some promise. And with IE looking into re engineing the 12 stored 201s to return them to traffic.
  7. Only looking just there, you have more info on your Facebook page than on your main website or here. Just discovered all the bubble cement CADs and only one teaser was posted here, same with the tooling parts for the hoppers. Not being a fan or user of Facebook myself that a bit of a pain that that's where most of the info on this project is.
  8. Yeah, it flew over the office here twice, some rumble when you are directly under it.
  9. Two cracking fighters. The Viggen sounds great in afterburner compared to other aircraft and the Draken still looks exotic even by todays standards. The best display I have personally watched was the RAF Typhoon solo display at Salthill in 2007. Even with the heavy overcast and limited could deck it was an amazing performance better than Thunderbirds who were headlining the show.
  10. 085 had a similar coupler fitted like 175 when it was confine to the works just before and a little after its overhaul. It also carried a DMU/EMU tow bar across it's buffer beam along the Mk4 autocoupler adaptor.
  11. (That's not a good sign for 134.
  12. I believe the move can still happen today. It's all up in the air right now.
  13. Today is the day finally. The 3 RPSI baby GMs stored at Inchicore will move to Connolly within the hour. Locos 134,141 and 175 will be hauled by 071 in the retro livery due to head off a 10am. A photo stop is due at Drumcondra station just before 11am before the final short trip to Connolly shed. Wish I could be there for it but stuck in work:((, if anyone can get any pics of the event that would be great. EDIT Just been informed that the transfer has been cancelled at the last minute due to "operational issues".
  14. 3 rakes....
  15. Out of interest, did you actually repaint your green 216 or did you use another 201? 216 in green is finally starting to grow on me and it's off to the paint shop within hours.
  16. What I have read is that it can go as far as Belfast but not on the Portrush line. The station is 50 metres too short for the Belmond set and it has no grandfather rights on the NIR network as Mk3s never ran a regular timetabled service on the NIR network.
  17. Misleading description too. It's clearly 220 Blackwater yet it states it's 201 River Shannon at the bottom.
  18. Cheers wanderer.
  19. Yeah, was hoping to see it on the taras myself. I reckon they will leave it in that livery for a year at least, hopefully longer like the DART25 logos still around despite them being 31-32 now. The 071s never worked taras until the A class were retired and 201s took over tier 1 passenger services and by that stage they were all in IR livery.
  20. It's been in Inchicore since the 40th tour, an electrical fault has been found in one of it's bogies and there are no bogies ready to swap it with so it's in until they can find the fault and fix it.
  21. I found it odd that 216 had them removed but all the Enterprise locos and the recently released to traffic 231 and 233 still have them intact after overhaul. I believe 216 is due to receive the Enterprise mods at a later date so it can work the Enterprise if needs be off season as it will have all the other required systems for working on the NIR network as it is.
  22. I reckon it will look similar to a Hornby BREL Mk4 in the GNER Mallard livery but the light grey roofs should help some what. http://www.ebay.ie/itm/HORNBY-R4001-1-76-00-SCALE-GNER-Mk4-First-Class-Coach-/112015300793?hash=item1a14a1d8b9:g:D00AAOSwhOBXUEeb Cheers for the number mk1c.
  23. The requirement of an EGV being the problem. HEP mode is now isolated on all 201s and some even have the HEP connections removed and plated over like 216.
  24. Yeah true, at least half the time it will be stuck up against 216.
  25. Anyone know the old Irish Rail number for the observation coach by chance?
