  1. On withdrawal from active passenger train services with IE GSV 3189 was used for a period for stock transfers between Heuston sidings and Inchicore, The GSV could haul empty Mk2 and Mk3 coaches to and from those locations for the purpose of exams or overhauls.
  2. Great memories of a fabulous branch both to work on and in the early days get the cab rides on.
  3. A new arrival at the per-way sidings is my mini MPV 100....seen here being admired by the per-way inspector and some of his team, Another sound fitted gem from Viessmann.
  4. I had a very enjoyable two days at this exhibition, It was great to meet up with Kirley,Hunslet 102 and Markle Jim, Great layouts,O'Connell street and Bleach green looked well and had large numbers in attendance anytime I passed, Fair play to the Ayr MRC who had a delightful Irish themed DCC sound layout-Baile dun Griffin, It had a modern feel to it with lots of action, Well done to all concerned for a fabulous exhibition.
  5. A updated version of this book will be released over the next few months.
  6. Well done Kieran-nice work.
  7. Love the era and the photos Jhb,thank you.
  8. Keep up the good work Dave.
  9. This evenings operations at Tara junction seen 0117071 arrive on the middle road with the Sperry train and will run around once the Arrow railcar 2601 departs from the station, On platform one 2607+2608 prepare to depart in the opposite direction with an evening commuter service. With the Loop road now clear 0117071 has a straight run through with the signaller giving the driver an amber signal ahead 0117071 approaches the Sperry train under the watchful eyes of the Shunter/Guard.
  10. I'm delighted with my Viessmann model Kieran, Although it's HO scale as can be seen from this photo it is always used during a perway possession of the track so there are never OO gauge trains nearby when it's working. Richie is correct in saying that its closest match would be IE tamper 742.
  11. Don't worry Stephen,I've your name at the top of the list for the next round of driver training and liquid refreshments afterwards.
  12. Thank you very much Jhb for your kind comments about the layout, It was a great pleasure to have you and the lads view and operate Tara Jctn-look forward to the next time for more driver training runs and afterwards at the local for more of your priceless stories and memories...and Guinness...!!!
