    To be fair, like Britain, Ireland also has a proud tradition of vandalism and arson. It's kind of ingrained, and any target is fair game, whether it's a heritage railway or migrants.

    Those days are gone. Ireland is in sovereign wealth fund territory now, assuming they don't spend the tax surpluses on bicycle shelters. EU needs to reserve money for those hoping to join the EU, like Serbia (good luck with that), Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania (major cannabis source) etc.

    Britain has nicked loads of Filipinos over the decades for the NHS and care home staff. Luxury cruise lines such as Cunard are substantially crewed by Filipinos, who have a lengthy maritime tradition

    As a side-note to the Genesis generic coaches, it looks like Rapido are getting in on the act by producing their own "Evolution" range of generic pre-group style 48ft non-corridor carriages. As ever, the question is: what are they based on? Is it a mix of different prototypes and, if so, which ones? Have they been compressed or stretched in any way?

    If the logistics can be sorted out, why not? The venue would need to be centred on a tram/rail hub, though, as it's not exactly easy to move that kind of infrastructure around.

    The J26 bare etch would be an Alphagrafix thing as they already do the 7mm kit, rather than Worsley Works.

    I worked in Ealing for nearly nine years, and I'm struggling to work out what went where compared to how the place is today.

    Given that the kit is reputed to be 1:87, it would be more HOn3½ than OO9, on 12mm gauge track.
