  1. Ulcer sez no!
  2. There's a few items of Irish 3ft and even 1'10 over the other side. I'm not sure there was much, if any, wibbling when they went!
  3. Update: the local post office has found the parcel and we have retrieved it! It does look like it has either been drop-kicked or partly crushed in transit....
  4. That's what happens when society becomes ever more feral.
  5. The question is whether the really bad ones will happen more often.
  6. I bet you're not keen on sausages now
  7. These figures never stand still and I think we have to realise that this only covers the place until the next flood, unless the powers that be are motivated to design and introduce flood prevention/diversion measures.
  8. They might only have lasted up until the 1990s before being withdrawn, just as the As and Cs were at that time.
  9. According to the GLS parcel tracking, the RPSI set I ordered has made it to Britain, but then the trail goes a bit cold. I have a Parcelforce track number which claims the parcel was subjected to an attempted delivery on Valentine's Day, and then left at the local post office. My friend and I went to that post office today, only to be told that the parcel was not there!! Hope it hasn't been stolen....
  10. "A ride's out of the question, then."
  11. The connecting rods should be inside of the coupling rods, though.
  12. It looks like a gigantic shunting puzzle
  13. What's the asking price?
  14. To be fair, when I look at the room available on my daily Thameslink to / from central London, a horse could easily stand - and turn round - in the central section between the sliding doors.
  15. You might remember that awkward scene in The Commitments....
  16. Colin Massingham, of whom it was said that he was a stranger to engineering drawings, preferring instead to guesstimate by eye - see his early Steamcast kits for various BR Standard engines. The Elcrappo brand also covered his 7mm standard gauge kits.
  17. Sharman wheels on this one. Again quite distinctive.
  18. Aren't the Bachmann / Murphy mounting points supposed to be a bit different to the IRM ones? Not sure a direct swap is possible.
  19. The very last one might have been the bid too far....
  20. The leading bidder is either really desperate to own this one, or is leading everyone up the garden path by putting in repeated joke bids.
  21. I see someone on Farcebook already flogging two NIR Mk2bs from Pack 2 for 130 Euros!
  22. He must have felt Eiffel.
  23. ....and to think there were just a few months left for the West Clare.
