  1. I came across this logo in MIR's Transfer Directory. I've searched to find out was this part of NIR as there is another logo for "Merlinir Logistics" Any information please?
  2. John, isn't it this draw behind railway modelling, the yearn to revisit what is gone but not forgotten.
  3. Glad Colm was able to direct you towards a supplier Andy, my number was homemade.
  4. Thanks Ivor, I have found modelling these MPD's a nightmare, you can't go by the drawings so I'm relying on photographs. For No's 59 & 60 I've relied on this image. as they will be in the NIR era .
  5. Great to see it at this stage, and still more to come!
  6. Some UTA green, just for a change. [video=youtube;a-LFJ9nOlw4]
  7. Both your timber wagon and coaches look the part, well done. I agree the moment you peal back the masking tape is always one of great expectation.
  8. I see IFM has Park Royal Coach kits on sale for €65 + postage or RTR for €90 http://www.irishfreightmodels.com/index.php/shop
  9. Just testing some colours
  10. Not very inspiring but essential maintenance work. Kirley Junction got a new coat of paint, with this good weather it was the right time to do it.
  11. I've used Revell 365 Satin for the 1960's CIE green.
  12. Very good for a first go, if you can get small stanchions for the next ones they will be a good representation of the real thing.
  13. They were made a long time ago, I think they were left overs from Dapol C43 Prestwin Twin Silo Cement Wagon Plastic Kit, that I bought just for the chassis.
  14. Thanks David, all my Class 80's have windows supplied by Glenderg.
  15. Decals added as well as Glenderg's windows so it was time for a test run of No 69.
  16. 012 loco with a rake of empty beet wagons.
  17. The weathering on the K Class is just sublime.
  18. I'm in England until Mon, will let you know what I've got then
  19. No one has mentioned what Class the Irish loco is, would it be close to GSR Class 491?
  20. If Colin can't sort you out I think I have a couple of body shells in the roof space, can't remember what they are.
  21. I take it that this is meant as a humorous comment rather than an impartial comparison of these two models.
  22. When I visited Clonmel a signal attached to the Goods Shed caught my eye and I thought it would be great to model it. Well my wish came true and one arrived today. All phrase to the builder who did an excellent job in capturing it in such excellent detail and I apologise for the poor quality pictures which does not give a true representation.
