  1. Well done ITG, great video. The quality of diesel traction has been preserved by the ITG has saved this heritage from the scrapyard and now with its working relationship with Downpatrick there is a chance to see them working. I was at Downpatrick just before Easter and was able to experience the startup of A39 from inside the loco. I was also given a potted history of 146 and shown the major repairs carried out to it. Both the DCDR and ITC members could not be more helpful.
  2. Good to see you back Stephen, the Site is not the same without your frequent updates but understand your priorities are elsewhere at the moment.
  3. Thanks Dave, keep them coming please.
  4. The fine detail on your weathering looks superb. It's a great skill you have.
  5. Looking forward to seeing the 'Scenics' developing on your layout.
  6. Looking forward to seeing this layout develop.
  7. Class act as usual Anthony, not sold on the backing track though, should have gone for Daft Punk's new one!
  8. My only regret is they did not model "Irish Railways" that would have put it on a must see list for me.
  9. Thanks for the link Dave, great to see the project moving forward.
  10. Anthony was keen that I had a look at some trains when I was away, but Malaga Station was the nearest I got.
  11. Could it be anything else!
  12. Just a short video showing some of the work I have been doing on Kirley Junction. Waiting for an parcel which is in the post from Glenderg to finish off the bridges.
  13. While respecting your views on this model, I am disappointed you give John Hazleton no credit for attempting a representation of this historic railcar.
  14. In fairness while based on a Cravens Unit it has been modified to have some resemblance to the AEC railcar, it's a representation and does not claim to be an exact model.
  15. Wow, that kit build should keep you out of mischief for a while... great find. Looking forward to seeing the build.
  16. Silver Fox do a representation of the AEC in different liveries
  17. Thanks for the pictures, sad sight indeed.
  18. Looking forward to seeing your pictures of your lighting system

    Tony Miles RIP

I just knew of him as Tony Miles, the maker of Adavoyle Junction. Regrettably I have only seen pictures of this fantastic layout but it was an inspiration to me. The modelling skills of Tony Miles have rarely been matched.
  20. Great improvement to the SF model Sentinel, how did you find doing the LED's? I agree with your sentiments in that you "Walk the Walk" rather than those who just "Talk the Talk".
  21. Homebase or B & Q I think.
  22. It quite straight forward, just plaster of Paris bandage with fillers behind it(newspaper, polystyrene, foam packing, whatever is to hand). When dry I paint it grey. Later I would pour on PVA glue/water mixture and use scenic materials to cover. Any sheer areas are left giving that exposed rock look. See previous post in this section where the painted Plaster of Paris can be seen.
  23. Hunslet came up trumps with a drawing, many thanks Andy.
  24. This is my second lifting bridge taking the track onto the middle section. I have installed cross over points on the bridge as it was a shame to not use the straight length of track. The Halt Cutting Bread delivery at the Halt Cutting. A Jeep has brought the early morning delivery of bread containers to this goods platform. An old Ransomes Rapier 6Ton Mobile Crane was send down from Grosvenor Road Goods Yard to speed up the collection and dispatch of the bread containers. The wagons courtesy of PM and the Ransomes Crane by Langley Models.
  25. The 2 Gatwicks + 112 have been sitting on the York Road siding nearest the M2 for the past 2 days. Not sure where they would be going as the centre road in Bangor is occupied by stored Castle Class Units.
