I've held my tongue thus far. I always found the shop on Queens Street more focussed on panzers and dioramas of belfast street riots. Railmatch paints were the only thing in stock - couplers, point motors, track pins - all "next week" Was disappointed when they moved to boucher road big box territory for the tourist southerner especially but reckoned it made sense . I'd heard of RC enthusiasts with outrageous delays on repairs, and i understand why they occur - i'm prone to them myself. If there were only 30 hours in the day....but communication is paramount. None of us knows what pressures these lads are under, but i'd hope they would at least get talking to their punters and let them know whats going on. Modellers on this island have put up with a lot of crap for years, but would happily endorse their local hobby shop if they knew where they stood. Fingers crossed this gets worked out, and all gets sorted satisfactorily.

Perhaps contact des aka weshty - he has a hitlist of brassmasters who have form, and most of them are in the uk i believe. Aside from the great Tony Mirolo and Sirs Kearney and Flanagan in Ireland, I can't think of any else quite skilled in crankpins and rods and smeagol solder to do it. If you can get georgeconna to do it though, you're in for a bloody special treat. R.

Oh the very thought of them parked up in a siding in limerick junction on a rainy evening, ghostly figures of wealthy passengers trudging up the road to the Bit & Bridle for a snakey pint.... it sounds all a bit like Stringfellows strip club in Parnell St!

Since it will be operated rail side from IE - contractual obligation to clean them perhaps, thats about it. It sounds like this would be run at most on a monthly basis, would it be practical to have a one off (maybe with a spare) rolling around with a funky livery? Looking forward to something unique for the MK III's livery wise. I for one, welcome our new cash collecting mk3 buying overlords.
