  1. Well done Seamus a nice little project and it's looking good. Rich,
  2. Just saw your post now Pat thanks for clarifying that and the best of luck on Saturday looking forward in getting mine in November. Rich,
  3. Did you read Fran's original post Dave. He was talking about IWT getting the shipment cleared with customs and making sure the delivery would arrive on Saturday afternoon and I said they deserved huge credit for doing that in going the extra mile for their customer. I didn't mention trains. Rich,
  4. That's really good of IWT to push to the limits to get the models to Blackrock. You don't hear this kind of news much which is why IWT deserve huge credit for doing this. I hope everyone collecting at the show knows about it too. Rich,
  5. Excellent Fran I shall be showing herself this evening when she brings the youngfella home from training.. This should finally sort out birthday and Christmas presents. Rich,
  6. Reading Fran's post yesterday was exciting news. Seeing your post just now is even better Seamus . It's great to see you posting again, you were missed man. I hope everything is good with yourself and that we will see you posting again on a regular basis. This has made my day. Rich
  7. You're right it has had a makeover and it does look good. Rich,
  8. That is an amazing price Stephen. I was already seriously committed to buying them whatever the pricing was. I also have to say that in a time that lots of folks have had to tighten the purse strings pricing like that makes the hobby inclusive for them and IRM deserve huge credit for that. Rich,
  9. Roll on Saturday Fran. Those are very kind offers from IRM and it shows your appreciation to us by making us feel like we are a part of it also. Two models already available (well on Saturday) Taras getting there and a fourth wagon to be announced, really impressive. It has been a great couple of years and there are many more to come. Rich,
  10. For those members who are finding the change a bit difficult or not as friendly to use please give it time you will become used to it and actually enjoy the time you spend on here. What Stephen has done here is take the group to a newer and higher level and has made a platform from which we as members and hobbyists can move forward together. Come on here and keep posting, the more you do the more I am sure it will grow on you. It is still the same group with the same members only upgraded to make it better. Enjoy it for what it is and it is a great group. Rich,
  11. Pat's look says can you guess what it is, with a bit of I bet you can't. Richie's says wait until you see the detail on this, and you know he means it. Two men at this stage who know exactly what they are doing, that's all I care about. My own guess at the moment is a bit ambiguous it could be a number of things. One thing is that it keeps things interesting for us the customer. Looking forward to it being revealed in time and thanks again for keeping us updated lad's we appreciate it. Rich,
  12. Don't be Fran it's not bad news. I'm looking forward to hearing about the next announcement. In the meantime the rest of the bubbles are only around the corner and the Tara project is next. As Oddball said in Kelly's heroes, enough with the negative waves . Rich,
  13. Thanks for the update lad's, all the hard work has been worth the wait looking at the images. For a bunch of guys venturing into the world of producing model railway rolling stock you have all done a fantastic job and it is hugely appreciated. Rich,
  14. Congratulations great to see that the hard work and study have led to you passing with merit. Rich,
  15. Don't know how that last post appeared gents. Its a strange one that the bogies have changed from the original released IR IE liveried coaches to the B&T and RPSI releases. I like the original released B4's as they are almost identical to the Bachmann bogies on the MK2A's.. Personally I love the replica railways B4 bogies they really capture the look. I'd definitely get rid of the bogies and replace them because they let down what is an otherwise cracking model. Rich,
  16. Once again a huge thank you to Stephen, Pat, and Fran for taking the group to another amazing level. The lads deserve huge thanks from us all for the amount of their spare time that they put into running IRM. I love the new look men. Rich,
  17. Lovely Fran, elbows, reducers, tees, and the pressure gauge looks amazing. Rich,
  18. No thinking about it you are spot on as they are two completely different bogies with the original being much closer to the prototype. The bogies on the RPSI models are wrong in so many areas. Looking at the RPSI models the bogies look like the bogies on the MM MK11 aircon models. Otherwise a superb looking model the livery application looks good. Rich,
  19. I took these in Waterford West Fran and looking at the revised model pics IRM have done a superb job in capturing them. It was hard to see them when the wagons were moving and even harder when they were caked in cement and grime. The underframe pipe work is a work of art. I actually got down to track level that day and had a look (with permission granted from IE) although I never took the pics as I had some other items of rolling stock to photograph. Rich,
  20. Looking good men. The weld seam lines look really good, not something that lots of manufacturers have gotten right such as roof weld seams. I can't remember seeing them on any bubble kits neither. Really looking forward to them. Rich,
  21. Very good transfers also. I have seen plenty of people updating BR diesel models in 00 by adding modern yellow overhead wire warning flashes and thin orange cantrail decals. I have seen a class 37 with the cantrail decals applied around the cab also. It was a nice tidy job and looked as good as a rtr model. Rich,
  22. Using decals like anything requires practice and patience. Breaking the decal up into smaller pieces rather than using it in one go will ensure a straight line once you master it. The term dark art gets thrown around a lot when describing some skills involved in this hobby and if you see using a lining pen as beyond your skill level then that's your problem unfortunately and there is nothing anyone can do for you as you have to want it to own it. The great drummer Carl Palmer once said that he could teach anyone who had never sat behind a drum kit to be capable of drumming on a record of a top recording artist in six months, all it takes is practice, honest effort, and desire. If you haven't any of those qualities than as I said you have a problem. Rich,
  23. Got it last night Fran nice way to be kept up to date with news. Rich,
  24. Modelmaster decals have a range of coach lining in different colours including black in different thicknesses. No black art involved in using these just patience. In fairness to what Ed was saying, if you don't try and sometimes fail like we all have you won't improve. The more you practice the more your technique will improve. Rich,
