  1. I'd take a break from the thread for a day or two if I were you Noel. You seem to be showing signs of Stockholm Syndrome. Rich,
  2. I only ever remember ever seeing them heavily weathered it is part of their unique look. They look much heavily weathered than the PCA wagons in the UK. I've seen Mercig's heavy weathering on a Dapol Silver Bullet and believe me it does scale down well while also looking fantastic. I would advise a look on the gallery on their website. Also just completed the survey and I hope it will give IRM some food for thought in relation to future products. Thanks for keeping us in the loop again lads. Rich,
  3. The paint job really brings it to life. You can see the little details such as the builders plate etc more clearly. Superb work men and thanks for giving us top level rolling stock we have been wishing would be produced for ages. Rich,
  4. 100% agree Richie. General Arrangement Drawings are what they say they are just a general arrangement of what an item of rolling stock will look like when complete. Going on site, correctly measuring and surveying the wagon is how you will arrive at getting it as close as possible to the correct dimensions. I am confident that the wagon will raise the bar again. The EPP model is really showing that a top class model will be the result and this is a win win situation for everybody. I hope that everyone appreciates the amount of hard work and effort the lads have put into this project, they certainly have it from me. Rich,
  5. Good news Stephen. Are the shots on your layout. Rich,
  6. Looks amazing for a PP model. If this a taster of things to come than it will be a winner all round. Huge credit to the IRM team and Dave for keeping us up to date with everything, the hard work they have put in is paying off. Cheers lad's. Rich,
  7. Excellent Richie. The Scalefour mag did a piece on Parkside Dundas a few issues ago and it explained a lot of the process for their wagons. This is far more advanced without doubt due to the cylindrical nature of the bubbles. After a few looks I have gotten my head around it and it is fascinating. The amount of small pieces in the dyes is amazing and when you see it like this it makes the models more personal. Thanks for sharing it was really enjoyable and explained a lot. Can't wait until tonight. Rich,
  8. I bet you do the Times crossword Jim. Rich,
  9. It's like football muppet season in the transfer window Fran, keep em guessing. Rich,
  10. Looking forward to this Fran, sounds exciting. Rich,
  11. Hugely anticipating the news. I say that the lad's are doing a fantastic job at updating us with news and all the pics on the facebook page have been on here. From a modellers and customers point of view IRM and Dave have made this a very exciting time and thanks for sharing lad's. Rich,
  12. Amazing Bren. I can imagine the nights of sore eyes, tiredness, to get to this level. Model buildings and structures to that level are one of the most trying aspects of the hobby to get right and takes ages of trial and error. You are at the top level Sir. Rich,
  13. Delighted that the project has reached this point. Exciting times. Rich
  14. That's fantastic news lads. I will support this myself and order more. Rich,
  15. Good news Fran. I'm really looking forward to these and further releases. Rich,
  16. Same age as the 071's ?. I am glad you had a good one. Rich
  17. Wow Bren truly amazing. Heuston is one of the most impressive railway terminus buildings in the world and you are doing it justice. I love the star wars stuff also. The force is definitely with you my friend.
  18. Excellent things are moving fast. It good to see the weld seams as they tended to get hidden by the cement and grime. The hatch on the roof is looking good. Really looking forward to these. Rich
  19. For the first test that looks great. It's nice to see that all the hours and effort have really paid off. Rich,
  20. Cheers Fran looking forward to it. Rich,
  21. I have to admire IRM's desire to get this right Richie. It is very much appreciated to see this level of R&D being done and the willingness from IRM to share. Rich,
  22. Brilliant George, a fantastic finish of a wonderful kit. Those tension locks do need to go though. Rich,
  23. Thanks George that's an amazing model. The interior detail looks stunning from the photos I have seen. Rich,
  24. I traveled on that lovely railway to see the wheel at Laxey. Terrible shame and as has been mentioned lucky no one was injured. Rich,
  25. Just as an aside if time permits a few pics would be appreciated. TIA Rich,
