  1. Is it that time already. Last years event doesn't seem that long ago. I'll definitely attend the show again this year. It's a very friendly atmosphere, and a credit to Donal and the organizers. Well worth a visit if you can make it. Rich,
  2. Truly fantastic pictures in your whole collection, it's a great resource and the images of old and new are real class. Rich,
  3. That sounds great Arran keep us posted. Rich,
  4. It's been discussed a few pages back in the thread. Rich,
  5. I have to say that I can't wait to see the MK11's myself Fran. Bachmann seem to be listening to their customers, the Blue Pullman and the MK11's seem to have been at the top of the list of what modellers have wanted to see produced. I look forward to seeing the DBSO. Rich,
  6. I think John's is a 22 ft wagon Pat. Rich,
  7. I'll add my respect for some exceptionally good work, keep it coming. Rich,
  8. +1 Richie, I think getting the correct springs, w irons, J hangers, axle boxes, brake gear would really make it stand out. I hadn't seen Dave's post regarding scratch building varying types of bodies on a chassis before I posted one of my earlier replies and he is spot on. I've said it before that we seriously need some quality wagons to run with the marvelous locos that have been produced in recent times. Freight holds a huge interest for me and I think with the exception of a 121 I would be happier to see some wagons. The lads at Real Track have produced some exceptional models to date and C-rail have been at the fore front of producing some great containers and tank tainers. Rich,
  9. But you're worth it Fran. Rich,
  10. Leave a few for the rest of us. Stephen I think that this is something that you looked into before yourself. If it is a twenty foot it would open up some options for people that would want to scratch build bodies fro Beet, Ballast, etc. Rich,
  11. I'll have to pop over and have a listen Eamonn. Always something of interest happening on the layout. My youngest lad loved it last year. Wanderer got a lovely photo of him in raptures enjoying the turntable. Rich,
  12. Where do you find the time Des. The Bandon tank that George is building really looks classy. There seems to be a very healthy interest in Steam modelling judging by other forum members plans to produce different classes. I'm about to start reading a book on the Waterford Tramore railway soon, judging from pictures in the book there are some nice prototypes. Rich,
  13. Thanks Seamus, the next batch will be of more interest to me. I shall be in contact with you. Rich,
  14. That's more fantastic news. Congratulations Gareth to you and your family it's a wonderful time that is priceless. Rich,

    New Arrival

A wonderful and joyful occasion in anyone's life Stephen. Orla sounds like a beautiful name. Congratulations and the happiest of times for all the family. Rich,
  16. As the lads have said feel free to upload more of your work and don't worry about using the BR models. It is very interesting and I'm sure the thread will become popular. If you can apply yourself to other areas of the hobby as well as this, you'll have no problems. I look forward to seeing more. Rich,
  17. Great information Eamonn with photos as well. 078 had the large bonnet side logos in 2005 I have a shot of it somewhere. It would be nice to know when she was converted to the LED type marker lights, I am assuming 2002. If we take the model as it will be released then it's fair to say that she ran in that livery with old style marker lights small logo for 7-8 years, and maybe 2 or less years in the LED marker lights small logo configuration. I think it is an interesting model for MM to release, a bit to early for my plans but a tasty model all the same. Rich,
  18. Very nice work. The illuminated buildings give it a nice contrast. Rich,
  19. The winning bidder put in his bid at the earlier time and the other bids weren't big enough to out bid it when made at the later times. The other bidders would have been informed that they hadn't met the amount required to out bid the highest bidder. They obviously decided not to bid again and the earlier bid won the item. As the lads have said nothing unscrupulous has gone on. I have to agree with Fran a nice price for a triple grey 37 with big T logo. Rich,
  20. Interesting question, I remember seeing 078 on Beet duty many years ago and it carried the small logo as modelled but the marker lights had been changed to the current LED type. I saw the loco sometime later (not to long after) and the larger logo was fitted. I would say that the time it ran with the small logo and revised LED marker lights was a lot shorter than the time frame that the model depicts with the old type lights. I have a huge interest in liveries myself including some obscure arrangements and it's something I like to see modelled also. HTH and good luck with what ever loco you choose. Rich,
  21. You're spoiled for choice in your neck of the woods Seamus. Plenty of interest to see in the Depot and Mr Graham on your door step. I may have to make a trip to that neck of the woods for a few hours. Rich,

An excellent choice John. It's nice to see people taking steam modelling into the mainstream area of the hobby. I'll certainly be supporting some of your other projects and the best of luck with this venture. Rich,
  23. Fantastic memories, it is a gift to be able to grab a readers attention in a way where you can make them feel the heat see the scenery and imagine that you are on the journey too. Thank you. Rich,
  24. Thanks for that John. I was thinking that the loco in her preserved condition would make more sense sales wise. Rich,
  25. I know that with steam locos changes are made mechanically and cosmetically in preserved condition. Have any such changes been made to 461 that would dictate as to whether a kit was produced in preservation or as delivered condition. I think Davids and Marks track record with what they have produced so far would be a much better prospect and that is not being disrespectful to Mike. I think Richie's post sums up my own feelings and makes a lot of sense. Rich,
