I should also add that we have been trained in interrogation and we make Seamus's (user) namesake look like a choir boy. Anto now has a big thorny stick as well as a weathering stick.
Rich,
Fran you have even got me frothing now. Do you get the models from the U.S Fran or more locally. I have a bit of a fondness for the Baltimore and Ohio Railway myself. If I had the space I would love to model something like Keyser yard in the late fifties with lot's of SD7-SD9 locos, Alco switchers.
Rich,
It's absolutely necessary as it helps the gears to mesh. It also gives the lubricant time to get into the areas of the gear tower that it needs to.
Rich,
Declan you can remove the whole bogie sideframe unit with a little gentle persuasion. You will then have access to the wheelsets, gears, pickups, etc.
Rich,
Well how about the weed spray on the viaduct Seamus. Eamonn has the prototype and you have the model in your's and I think that would be a nice compromise. If not I'll send my MIL up to Port Laois and she'll give you a run for your money :D.
Rich,
I had a good look at the 0 gauge 111 at the Wexford show and it is a beautiful model. I love the 141-181 class models as the prototypes were my favorite loco's. The models set a bench mark at the time for any 00 gauge diesel model that had been released by any manufacturer. I still think that it holds it's own even today. However if the 071-111 turns out like I expect it to then it just might eclipse the baby GM's. I can't wait to see a fully painted production model.
Rich,
