  1. Nice! They got there in the end - hand delivered too! (for context - I tried posting them, but the parcel ended up being sent back to me due to some customs issue sending to the Canary Islands)
  2. Here's a similar take on that sort of thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cktlY8JfvQ
  3. The new ones won't work with the older 141/181 models I saw it mentioned somewhere I think
  4. Sounds like cost-cutting measures went too far to me
  5. I was thinking that's what it was, rather than 'paint bleed' on the model itself! Hail hail IRM's eye for detail!
  6. Am I the only one here who can't drive a car? (I'm a biker, and never saw the point of a car when living in Dublin, with the traffic)
  7. Plans have been unveiled for short-stay accommodation and a major model railway project on the Waterford Greenway at Kilmacthomas. Waterford City & County Council has commenced the Part 8 planning process for the project, situated at the village's former railway station. Labour Councillor Ger Barron says it's an exciting development for the local area - and outlined more details to WLR News. He described it as "a work of beauty". "In my view it will be a very big tourist attraction - people will love it when they see it. It's accurate in every detail, explains the history of the line and includes all of the features along the line such as towns, villages, tunnels, bridges and station houses." Cllr Barron explained that it will be built in a separate unit alongside the former train station as the existing building isn't large enough to accommodate the entire feature. The model railway was created by the late Lar Barton over a period of 30 to 35 years. source: https://www.wlrfm.com/news/model-railway-and-tourist-accommodation-planned-for-kilmacthomas-train-station-350518
  8. I wouldn't go near anything that Space Karen has to do with!
  9. Someone put together this horror themed movie of Thomas the Tank Engine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4SLJM9A2NA
  10. You could do various era vans too - sheet the outside, and paint it yellow for the PWay plough van look for example, with the 'porch/veranda' at one end
  11. Listening to this banger at the moment, but could be anything really! Back when I was in college, a few of us went for a drive down to north Spain to visit a friend, and we had a mix tape with this track on it - brings back good memories! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yAOMIzUBQA
  12. One thing I could see possibly being an issue is the pathing of extra freight services over the single track section to Tullamore. Maybe this would be an issue, or maybe not

  14. 'New' trains for Iran some years ago, or a 'look what we are doing for the country' type thing, where they just used a shot of our very own 181!
  15. File the 'peak' over the cab down on a 66 and it'd look fairly close to a 201
  16. Need to login to that site - can't see the pic otherwise
  17. Mad price alright - shame I don't have a double of 112!
  18. I tried it, but it will only cycle through the pics in the individual post, not the whole thread. Be nice if it did though!
  19. Or back in the day, a bottle (glass) of Lucozade, with the orange plastic wrapper, that you could take off & look through for an orange-tinted view of the world!
  20. Brilliant idea! Nice bit of 'thinking outside the box' that. You could always give them a light wash with a yellow, to tone down the ice white light to a more old-time yellowish glow
