    I have a generator in the boiler house that I can fire up to run the oil burner & pump if the power goes. Plan is eventually to wire it back to the fuseboard, so I can run the whole house off it if needs be

    Be better off filling a wagon with battery packs & connect that up to the loco instead. Have a fresh charged battery wagon at the other end of the run

    Were the staff catchers ever used on the 101 class? Looks daft having the recess for the staff catcher, with no catcher installed

    The way the seats mount to the walls, and not the floor, will make cleaning the floor real handy that's for sure

    That's a capacitor - holds a charge, to keep the lights running in case of dead spots on the track

    I can't remember steam era, so would have absolutely zero interest in any steam loco releases. I can remember the C class hauling carriages before the DART came along. I remember my uncle taking me on the Dart on the first day. I take the modern railcars, so they are valid for me to order/run

    Gertie Browne's pub here in Athlone still has the remains of a G scale track mounted up high in the bar, but I never saw it in action.
