How long would it take to get to Letterkenny at any rate - 4 hours?
Mad for their cars up there anyway - especially the ones with the yellow rear plates on them...
I spotted a repro sign on either Donedeal or Adverts a few days ago - railway was spelt 'ralway' on it...
If you are going to make fake railway signs, at least run the text through a spell-checker first!
I remember seeing it on the Green line when it was under construction now you mention it & posted the pic in its previous livery
Anyone else think that GPX Rail sounds like an American railroad company?
I remember having a basic Airfix one of those when I was a kid.
Thought it was a good idea to use the top oven as a 'hanger' - unfortunately, it hadn't cooled down enough, and one of the wings got a bit 'melty'...
Apart from if you head south, there is only Kilkenny between Laois and the sea!
There are no counties as far as I can see where in some direction, there is only one county between it and the sea
I can remember a lot of the 70's Van Hool busses in Dublin having a reg with BIK in it, and also cars with ZV.
So much easier with the modern license plates!
Anyone any idea whether the car license plates are from NI or ROI?
Just wondering if the Donegal attitude was the same back then as it is now - buy car in NI, then don't bother getting a ROI plate on it
I came across this while surfing Youtube yesterday - impressive stuff! Makes sense with the distances involved, and that the line is freight only.
Some amount of wagons being hauled for sure
