    Yep - John Hazleton - johnsilverfoxmodels@msn.com
  3. I'm using cobalt digital point motors. They include a switch terminal so you can add a push button and LEDs for an 'old fashioned' physical control panel.
  4. Great!!
  5. Take the clear plastic rail joiner on the bottom left rail and move it up to the frog. Then join the point up to your layout using regular metal joiners on all the other rails.
  6. Also, the frog should be fully isolated - so make sure you have insulated joiners on both frog connections like this image
  7. In your photo, you have what look like Hornby "DCC" clips inserted into the point. See the small thin metal 'wires'? You should be able to pop them out with the blade of a screwdriver, you should be ok then.
  8. Sounds like a short. I assume it's a point?
  9. An absolutely beautiful execution!! Lovely work!
  10. http://www.themodelshop.ie/de-detrich-open-coach-ienir-enterprise-new-livery/gtm009pd.html €69.99 each, but am sure Seamus would do you a deal if buying a few They are a stunning paint job
  11. Now yer talkin HeirFlick!!!
  12. If using a mac, I'd recommend http://www.railmodeller.com/
  13. I. Know! I'm using it for routing and point / signal control so the base version covers it!
  14. I'm using this http://moorestreettmd.co.uk/mstmd/bigbeardcc_trial.aspx 30 day trial, works beautifully with the Elite, and only 20 pounds for the basic version
  15. Lovely Gear Jack!!
  16. What stunners! How did you do the load?
  17. Wow - just wow!±!! The standard is awe inspiring±
  18. Oh. Dear. God. Mere words don't suffice
  19. On mine the cab light is function 13 iirc. I think the select only supports 12 functions? (the chip has 18+ I think)
  20. On what model / chip?
  21. As the layout is pretty low, it's comfortably within my reach. Only this corner and the two 'peninsula' branches are this wide. There are sections of the loop that are 1 foot wide (mainly at the top and bottom of the loop) The trade off tho, is that in this yard, I have 6 storage sidings, 2 per way sidings, a 3 road shed and a fueling siding all running parallel to the double track mainline. it's a little crowded, but then the idea is to get a busy yard feel...
  22. not a great pic but you can see how the boards widen here to fit all the yard track
  23. This end is a full three feet deep
