  1. Absolute thing of beauty
  2. I've a little gap due to my point geometry in the station throat. I put a little three mil length of track with a joiner on both ends and used it to close the gap. You wouldn't notice it now.
  3. With a small pliers you should be able to grip the rail and pull it to close the gap a bit? The shorting, sounds like you need insulated joins at the crossing - have you a pic?
  4. Looking fantastic Noel!! Love the livery!
  5. =))=))=))=))=))
  6. The bogies - just pull them clean off
  7. I think it's a 'feature' of the couplers - particularly if you are using kadees. I've had to prop up the ones I use with small offcuts of plastic.
  8. I use a Lenz system for locos and a hornby Elite for the accessory bus (points). You can plug both into the same PC
  9. You're still throwing points, etc, just using a touchscreen instead of a big knob :)
  10. Woohoo - win win Agree on the JMRI As long as you have a compatible, computer connectable cab, that supports all the features, computer control lets you manage it from your phone / pad anyway,.
  11. The beauty of a system like the Z21 is that development and features are just a matter of time / coding. It's a very clean way of running things tho (the geek in me approves )
  12. Ok, progress Lights and movement as '0' means that under DC power the loco is working fine. So the issue is the chip. Have you another chip you could try?
  13. Transplant from 141's
  14. AH, cheers garfield.. I have a Canon EOS 450D and tripod, but it doesn't like the low light levels much I've some lighting strips on order to hopefully bring the lumens up enough to take decent photos.
  15. Pfffft, IE livery :) Will see what I can do
  16. Lovely The 141/181s are great runners :)
  17. Well tasty Wrenn!
  18. The fun now is finding out how 'challenged' much of the older stuff (steam, silverfox, etc) is by the weight of some of the rakes. All bar the new 'factory' stuff like cravens, mk2s, mk3's, demand more pulling power than much of the stock Poor ole 034 couldn't manage the 12 cement bubbles at all gawd bless er Big bucket o' bullfrog snot en route hopefully, and liquid lead Gives me an excuse to get back on scenics tho - have a little wiring to finish, then a heap of motors to fit, then all the frogs to wire up, then ....
  19. Grange - how big is the file? Site will take up to 2MB (but the image dimensions may be too large?)
  20. Sorry for the quality, tried 'HDR' mode on the phone, which seems a bit pants! Back to wiring now methinks!
  21. A few shots for CIE/IR fans
  22. Odd - what's 'obsolete' about them
  23. Excellent! Will check that out thanks!
  24. Looking absolutely excellent!!! The walls are very effective at 'anchoring' the scene! Loving the hardstanding - what kind of foamboard did you use?
