  1. ~I've a few of these which I love http://www.dccconcepts.com/index_files/DCCmpdstorage.htm Same idea, but available in three sizes and has a moulded foam inner (very protective). For those expensive, sound equipped, wired up tender locos, they are the perfect storage option.
  2. Some detail drawings here http://irishrailmodels.com/2012/01/25/d301-class-locomotive-drawings/

    Hope so
  4. Just wow again Patrick. Just standard scatter? Looks amazing. It's fantastic to see the track settling into the landscape!
  5. Yep Dug out me old hornby one. She even has lights. Now to get some black spray paint :)

    I wonder will the grey hide the dirt better? What was wrong with the black and silver or was there a deal going on the grey paint

    It actually looks to return the 071 to their American heritage Really makes them look more like a big lump of Detroit iron

  12. I have an older railroad 08, which isnt great, but have a couple of hornby 08's and a bachmann, will dig out the boxes as soon as I get a chance. Would be a nice little runner in front of a short rake of freight, or shunting a few cravens
  13. She looks great! Will definitely chance me arm at it
  14. That's just gorgeous heirflick Any advice for souls thinking an 08 and a lick of black paint will do a nice job?
  15. Absolute thing of beauty
  16. I've a little gap due to my point geometry in the station throat. I put a little three mil length of track with a joiner on both ends and used it to close the gap. You wouldn't notice it now.
  17. With a small pliers you should be able to grip the rail and pull it to close the gap a bit? The shorting, sounds like you need insulated joins at the crossing - have you a pic?
  18. Looking fantastic Noel!! Love the livery!
  19. =))=))=))=))=))
  20. The bogies - just pull them clean off
  21. I think it's a 'feature' of the couplers - particularly if you are using kadees. I've had to prop up the ones I use with small offcuts of plastic.
  22. I use a Lenz system for locos and a hornby Elite for the accessory bus (points). You can plug both into the same PC
  23. You're still throwing points, etc, just using a touchscreen instead of a big knob :)
  24. Woohoo - win win Agree on the JMRI As long as you have a compatible, computer connectable cab, that supports all the features, computer control lets you manage it from your phone / pad anyway,.
