  8. Brief update of yesterdays 'guaging' Apart from the assistance provided by Thomas and pals, the gauging train is a pocket wagon, Craven, MKIII EGV, Timber and Cement bubble - representing a good cross section in terms of length and width / shape of stock that will appear. I'm using this to test clearances and do some initial platform size markings (honest, not just playing ) Will get the final few track pieces down in the per way siding now and get some updated photos of the nearly finished throat and sidings...

  15. My plan (for Amiens Street) is to get it electrically functional once all is laid. My priority is reliable running (hence the number of droppers and wiring). Once done, I plan to weather and paint the track, lay the 'hard' stuff, like platforms, hard standings, etc, and place all the buildings. Then get stuck into ballasting and some green stuff
  16. Very boring Especially when the 'main station' can just about accept a 141 and two cravens Great fun to build though, and great experience
  17. Cheers lads, the idea was a basic roundy for the lads, which I could use to experiment and gain some experience with - highly recommended It gave me a much clearer idea of what i wanted, and what was possible
  18. No photos again today tho, the boys are on mid term so the layouts been covered in rakes of thomas and pals Will get a little time tomorrow and hope to dropper and lay the per way sidings and a bit more throat, and start into the main shed area
  19. No They can alternate running the enterprise platform
