  1. Since it was at the end of the process that the block came up, I suggest an email to IRM explaining what happened. My guess is that they will reinstate your Reward points for you.
  2. Glad to hear that.
  3. All he needed to do was sign an Executive Order with his marker pen.
  4. Makes me wonder why I bought these things at the full price.
  5. A small portable generator will enable these things to work so long as they have a plug that can be plugged into an extension lead i.e. not hard wired.
  6. Was it you Jonathan?
  7. We were without power from 2:30am Friday until 1pm Saturday. During the recent heavy snow we were without power for four days and without water for three. Hopefully we have now done our share.
  8. Modellbahnshop-lippe.com used GLS to send me some Tillig track and ballast bases which made it quite a large parcel. Shipped from Germany 10th January and arrived here in Kerry 21st January. No hassle and a very helpful driver.
  9. The shape colour of things to come. Having ended up with a duplicate of IRM NIR coach 902, I decided to repaint it in NIR 1970s maroon and blue. This is what it looks like. I'm sure IRM's livery application will be far superior but this does give an idea of what to look forward to. (I know this coach was numbered in the 800 series when in this livery, but I had no number 801!)
  10. To stimulate your interest. On Ebay right now.
  11. Use your wordprocessing skills to send them what looks like a solicitor's letter demanding immediate despatch by tracked service.
  12. RIP Chris.
  13. I like the Lima coaches. Unless you have code 100 rail you will need to replace the wheels. Flush glazing kits are available for many of the Lima coaches. They do have large tension lock couplers which you might want to change, or just keep them.
  14. It's 20% of the value of your item plus shipping. But unless your shipping was £33 then the charge to you seems high.
  15. Paul this is an excellent thread and your history of the spoil wagons is both fascinating and very informative. In their latter years as ballast hoppers they became prone to derailment and this resulted in a number of operational restrictions such as speed and loading.
  16. Welcome to the forum.
  17. Now you can see why NIR purchased second hand tried and tested coaches instead of more experiments at high index linked prices, with a delivery date of God knows when.
  18. @amdaley Robert French was my Great Great Grandfather, his Granddaughter Natalie Marion French being my Father's Stepmother. I have a very interesting album of his photos taken in various towns around Ireland.
  19. Surely you mean trains for teenage girls. They are the ones who thought it was cool
