  1. Two IR trains in Lisburn and a loco on its own, probably running round its train suggests the line was blocked between Lisburn and Belfast by a bomb scare or similar.
  2. I have a friend who suffers from CDO. It's like OCD but with the letters in the correct order.
  3. So do I. Also at Lisburn station along with blue ex GNR(I) 4-4-0 tender locos.
  4. Jonathan, I have very clear menories of my Father taking me to Lisburn station to see the new 'express diesel' hauling the Dublin train. On multiple occassions we saw a grey 121 class hauling the train. Sometimes bonnet leading but then more often cab leading. It's these memories that prompted me to get the RPSI grey version in OO.
  5. LOL,but it wont fit in Phoenix Park! Ireland is 300 miles long and Phoenix Park is 2.6 miles (measured along Chesterfiield Avenue)
  6. Great layout and a fast build. I've been years at mine and still not got continuous running operational.
  7. 80 class with at least eight liveries not to mention the variations of the chevrons at the front. Blue and maroon Light grey and maroon Ditto with IR logo Suburban Intercity Corporate Translink Sandite That's enough wishlists. Currently I am enjoying the announcement of the mk2b maroon and blue coaches.
  8. Two snails are faster than one.
  9. RIP David.
  10. Thanks DJ I used MIR paint. "NIR Maroon" and "NIR Dark Blue" These were colour matched to NIR paint by Precision Paints in the 80s.
  11. Unused Hornby eLink and Railmaster software, boxed and still in original unused condition. Software unopened. Price €50 including postage within Ireland.
  12. Is there an MIR item in the video?
  13. Without waiting, here is an IRM Mk2b that I repainted, hauled by an MIR kit built Hunslet.
  14. I believe the rolling stock tender went to Murphy Models lol
  15. Thanks for that interesting information @Horsetan and @GSR 800. Can anyone from IRM confirm which models have what arrangement? I would like the preserved version with the two horizontal handrails only.
  16. The preserved 800 has two (I think) horizontal handrails on the smokebox door. The IRM pictures show some vertical handrails as well. Can anyone please advise which model versions have the horizontal handrails only?
  17. Very neat wiring Tony. Not a piece of spaghetti to be seen.
  18. I hope the sound file for the 'as preserved' version makes a few more sounds than the prototype, which sits in the museum making no sound at all.
  19. JHB I stand corrected.
  20. Tony, you will need one heck of a helix for through running of trains.
  21. The DSER was known locally as the "Dublin Slow and Easy Railway".
  22. Well some of it is lol
