  1. Pity they did not film loco being taken out of it's cardboard box. I wonder if it was as well packaged as the IRM "A" class loco?
  2. I would like to thank WRENNEIRE for helping me out. I was particularly impressed with the way the green box was covered in an additional wrapping which bore the legend "From Randy Wrenn's Marital Aid Emporium" and below this "Powered by a very smooth quiet powerful motor". This helped me get it through the internal customs office. However I managed to undo all of WRENNEIRE's good work when I headed up to the attic with the "package" under my arm. "Where are you going?" asked the Mrs. "To try this out" I replied. I knew even before I saw the wife's face that it was the wrong thing to say. I am just not cut out for this John Le Carre subterfuge stuff. Don't know what the Mrs will think when my package from IRM arrives.....
  3. Thinking of buying an EV? This might be worth a look this coming Friday on Channel 4.
  4. Are there any other stockists of the A class other than IRM and Marks Models?
  5. Now that the "A" class is here the obvious thing for IRM to do is to release the Anhydrous Ammonia tankers. I mean it is the logical step....
  6. I know people are impatient for their A class to arrive, but it will arrive. Spare a thought for those who were eagerly awaiting Dapol's "N" gauge class 50. It finally arrived at Dapol from China but they sent the whole lot back to China as the finished product was not as it should be.
  7. This is from Dapol and how they are investing in their UK production facility. Their is a subtle hint that they could bring more production inhouse rather than using facilities in the far east. Dapol Continue To Invest In UK Production

  11. Listen, there's moaning and there's moaning. Fellah and the wife were indulging in the nudie nookie business (he was taking a break from admiring the A class he had just acquired). He said to the wife " You are doing this all wrong, you should be moaning" . "That ceiling needs painting" came back the reply.....
  12. Just trying to get my head around something. When the lads at Inchicore were working on these locos what size screwdriver did the use on the two screws on the floor of the cab? I mean when you scale the model up to the real thing those screws must have been a nightmare to work with....
  13. This features narrow gauge bog railway but it not about the railway but it is a back drop to the story. Worth a watch. Should also be on the RTE player. It is called "Our unfenced country"
  14. Have a look at the photo on the left. Nice combination

  22. Interesting to see the different gauge tracks together. I hope they did realise that this goes on the 5'3" and not the 4'81/2" rails...
