  1. Found this while doing a bit of a sort out and wondering if anyone wants to take it off my hands for €10 + P&P(probably about €2.50, an Posts website is down right now)..
  2. It isn't the maintenance of way, its operation and maintenance of the OTM machinery.. Has been this way for about 15 years now, but fairly sure the equipment still carries IE logos as they are still owned by IE..
  3. Latest update from Rhomberg Sersa saying the Crane has arrived, pic below attached.. Not sure where but looks a bit like NW
  4. That Ebay seller is the publisher Kelsey, but they offer P&P free on other items after the first item! Why do it on Ebay but not on your own website? Think at this stage I'll just have to pass, €15 for 1 article I want to read..
  5. Any idea where this can be bought no from the publisher? They insist on charging £5 per magazine extra for overseas orders with no reduction in price if you order more than one, works out a touch expensive..
  6. *Furiously searches for non existent images of the Iron Ore railways in Antrim, Avoca mines tramway and Kynochs railway * C/DOS/RUN BLIP Beep Scanning for IRM/Accurascale overlap Applying modellers licence 97% 98% 99% 100% complete looks plausible for something Irish and minerally in the early 20th century
  7. As my work ends, yours and the warehouse staff's begins! Better tell an Post to stick the vans on charge!
  8. Yep, no cruise berth anymore.. there’s RO/RO ramps on either side of Ocean Pier now..
  9. Have yet to adjust to that for Rest of World stuff but doing it for the UK.. Have to say the Postponed VAT is the best thing to come out of Brexit, I'm sure the IRM lads will agree
  10. Ah damn, I hate waiting for the vessel to arrive to get an MRN.. I have my (hazmat) suit all ready here to head down and get the T1 discharged
  11. The crew just sent me this, can't quite make out face on the guy in orange taking an intense interest in the containers on deck!
  12. I think it might be the Cadena 3, she’s an ex MOD point class sealift vessel(beachy head), not sure if she still has gun mounts and anti piracy gear but she might need to them repel boarders coming up the Liffey!
  13. Don’t forget the schneaky airfreight with the RH buses that no one knew were coming!
  14. IE have contracted out the maintenance and operation of the OTM fleet for about 15 years now.. Rhomberg Sersa are just the latest incumbent, I think they won the tender about 3 years ago now.. It was originally operated by Lloyd rail for about 9-10 years
  15. https://ireland.rhomberg-sersa.com/en/news/new-kirow-crane-for-irish-rail-network Due in the next few weeks
  16. Looks like an Asahi oil tank being worked Foynes to Limerick for maintenance..
  17. A lot of OHLE masts and subtstation equipment to go up in the next few years.. Like you said, this will have better access than a road crane
  18. Under test in Germany so presumably due here soon.. it’s a Kirow Multitasker 500
  19. Stumbled across this odd little railway on one of the freight industry Journals, would make an ideal micro layout for some one who is VERY space limited.. Consists of about 100ft of track with a road/rail tractor and two flat cars.. But is is fully functional and due to a strange quirk in the US Jones act it serves a commercial purpose! https://maritime-executive.com/article/cbp-issues-gigantic-jones-act-fines-for-alaska-seafood-shipping Google street map has views of the entire "railway" at "Kloosterboer Bayside, 136 Champlain Drive, Bayside, NB E5B 2Y2
  20. Just thought I'd put another shout of if Anyone has a Dapol 20ft EWL container they are willing to part with, came in a pack of two with a Hanjin 20ft a good few years ago.. I managed to find a seller in the UK with 4 of the EWLs, but it's working out at €70 for the 4 when shipping and VAT is paid, and I only really want 1 or 2 of them so would rather not go down that road if I can avoid it!
  21. Of course, came factory fitted! She has given 082 working up hill with a trailing liner some competition already, that was a noisy couple of minutes!
