  1. Ive tried to contact the powers that be via the CONTACT US to show a site I just found without any luck, as I've been trying to send a message in one of the Shops, Manufacturers etc. section but cannot find any starter tread !! BTB
  2. Many thanks JB, & I've just been looking back on the tread, Irish Carraiges, & in it Kirley if this parish brings forward a table of info on Irish Coaches, & from what I can understand, & that's saying nothing, it would seem as far as logos, snails, numbers paint shades were concerned, the rules just did not seem to apply !!!!! Of course I could be wrong !!
  3. Noel, I agree 100% of course, we would need to seek the knowledge of JB, but just think of the possiblities of the outcome ! A few photos of these coaches would be a great help. I have wagons that apart from colour, & which a coat or two of a similar paint, would, to me using the 2 FOOT RULE, not look out of place alongside / behind a B&T 141 ! Paul
  4. Looking mega Noel, so while your at it, any ideas as to what other BR / LMS coaches would be suitable for a lick of paint, for me, always keeping the 2 FOOT RULE in mind... Paul
  5. Nice one Noel, well done sir, they're looking mega, shove them on your tracks behind a 141 & enjoy & video. Now mind telling me what code, RAL mix or what was that TAN you put on the carriage, TIA ( don't forget that video ) Paul
  6. Hi DV & Noel & many thanks, this might get me to start / attempt some kind of painting / respraying in the coming weeks....
  7. As long as its not a Black Diamond........!!!! LOL
  8. Well DV I thought that's what he did !!! But then what do I know, I'm sure he'll be on here very soon to tell, ths is great fun finding out how to spray, & I don't have a spray gun setup.... but the cans used correctly can ( no pun ) do the job...
  9. Well Noel to begin I have to say a quick look at the pc of the two side by side sees YOU ON TOP of the old coach, PAINT BRUSH IN HAND doing what you do best now I know nothing about Reverse Asking Tape !!! Can you explain please, Paul
  10. Here's wishing you speedy recovery & back to doing what you do best, ASAP PS I hope that's not for a Hornby Select.....
  11. Well done Noel, you dug up some interesting photos, mind telling me exactely how you got that white line looking sooooo good, TIA Paul
  12. Thanks Eoin, I've been looking at photos of CIE WAGONS / VANS that for me, when playing with trains they, with some painting / respraying & weathering would pass the 2 FOOT Challange..
  13. For what its worth, Everard Junction has begun to strip down his layout !!! & it's not pretty ! BTB
  14. Hi John & thanks for that list, do you know is there any similar / lookalike list of IRISH VANS / WAGONS available that you know of, lots of talk about the differences in Irish compaired to UK, but a few photos might help, Thanks BTB
  15. Anyone on here able to tell me has that store closed or not as the web site is still operating, I think, BTB
  16. I know this HOBBY can get expensive but for the colour GREEN that's been asked about on here, this thing is in an IRISH GREEN ! Now you don't have to buy the thing ! to get the code, go on their web site & you'll get the code, I'm no suggesting h is the colour that's been asked about, but maybe !! https://www.google.ie/search?sclient=tablet-gws&q=porsche+irish+green+paint+code&oq=Porsche+Irish+Green+Paint+c&gs_l=tablet-gws.1.0.0.2027.9169.0.10766.8.3.0.2.2.0.358.358.3-1.1.0....0...1c.1.64.tablet-gws..5.3.387.R-JTDF2Ln9o#imgrc=SN3jXTkFeiXpoM:&spf=17
  17. Fantastic Noel, job well done, & not in any way taking from your skill as demonstated in spraying / respraying / weathering, personally I would be very happy to have that on my layout as I'm very much the TWO FOOT RULE railway enthusiast & enjoy playing trains. Mind telling me what was the make, code, RAL etc. of that Black paint you used. Paul
  18. Look here guys, Lima sets x 2 MK2 coaches, & there not cheap.... BTB http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232277487469?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232277488652?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Hi all, & thanks to RedRch I have corrected that, should have been MK 2 & not MK3, yes 3 coaches but the price remains at £199.99 Paul
