  1. It would be interesting to see, but economics stand against a ready-to-run model of 461. Only two such locomotives were built for the DSER, so there would be limited appeal in that regard. A brass kit would certainly be a possibility, though... as far as I know, no other DSER locos have been produced commercially, and the two moguls got to stretch their legs beyond their old stamping ground under GSR/CIÉ, giving more modellers an excuse to run one.

    Rpsi

It's not really the RPSI's decision. IÉ basically don't want any orange coaches roaming around the network...

    Rpsi

Yep, they have a couple of them (not including the presidential coach). They'll be tweaked and added to the Mk2 set... you'll know them by the windows.
  4. Great work so far... really enjoying following the build!

    SSM Sulzer 101

There's a photo of a green Sulzer in 'Irish Railways in Colour: A Second Glance' by Tom Ferris...
  6. She's been trouble ever since she returned to steam, but fingers crossed her problems are behind her now. The RPSI certainly won't want to have to run diesel-hauled Santa Specials again...
  7. A members meet-up could be one possibility, but would require a venue (and bouncers ). If organised properly, there could be 'show and tell' sessions, demonstrations, maybe even a guest speaker...
  8. Then stick a bunch of cavalry lads in the back... they'll be mortified!

  10. Excellent work! If you have trouble uploading images here, upload them to http://www.tinypic.com and embed them into your posts using the 'insert image' tool (you may have to uncheck 'reference file locally')...
  11. Looks fab... is that a Corgi model?

    SSM Sulzer 101

Spot on - same engine under the hood.
  21. Model Irish Railways produced a kit version, but it's out of production now. As for an RTR version... I'm afraid I very much doubt there'd be enough demand to justify the minimum order quantities...
  22. Lovely stuff, Noel... to me, the M class were the definitive 1980s Expressway bus, even though any time I travelled on one was when going to school!
  23. Do you actually own anything that ISN'T wrapped in plastic, Dave?
  24. Mmmm, duuurty! Ahem... (One of those days...)
  25. Good call, Richie... two excellent websites!
