  1. Likewise in the same career for a similar amount of time - they think we can press a button and it magically re-appears. Never been easier to save data these days
  2. People must be buying them if they are still making them.......... This goes with the 66 too. Hornby are still the defacto model railway brand for many

  4. Not bad going considering today was meant to be the 'public announcement'
  5. 'Made in Ireland'
  6. Nice one, the 319 is tempting me badly
  7. Thats a great photo, is the backscene here part of the photo or photoshopped in??
  8. Looks well - which version of the kit did you buy, as I always found his pricing to be both high and bit strange that the glazing is separate when its needed as part of the kit
  9. We've seen that elsewhere already with Irish models and not in a positive way. Vanishing deposits and questionable 'hand built' quality anyone?
  10. FY wanted it to look more like a BR Class 52 Western than the '201' design which predated the IE one by 11 years, so FY got their wish. The 201 has the bodyside ribs which were designed to match wagons that FY had at the time The main challenge was shrinking the SD40-2 design into the British loading gauge and keeping all of the complex electronics that allow their incredible haulage capacity
  11. 'Text Size 72, Capitals, Bold, Underlined'..........
  12. Know the feeling, I've a small mountain of Cambrian kits along with other stuff collected over the years, something very calming about assembling Cambrian Salmon/Sturgeon/Tench kits though, especially when you look at flangeways attempts
  13. It was, its called the 071.....
  14. Grampii? Easy to get lost in the sheer variety of sea-life.....
  15. Thats one, was thinking moreso in their 'heyday' era, pics are hard to find
  16. Not quite confirmed yet, info is sketchy given where it is at present is a key military target - https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/44504/first-sight-of-giant-an-225-cargo-jet-since-russian-invasion-shows-its-tail-intact
  17. It will be this style, seen it on (8)113 but yet to see a photo of 111/2 carrying them, model pics yes but not the prototypes. Same was fitted to the 071's when new The handbrake wheel info will be the same as the 071, so out with the magnifying glass maybe. AFAIK they have not been upgraded to the bicycle wheel fitted to the 071's either
  18. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Up the dubs
  19. As long as the train ran to schedule and the heating was on, 99.999956% of customers could not care less what colour it was. Tippex is good for sniffing I'm told, ever give it a go?
  20. Photos taken during the LED head/tail lights upgrade phase, 225 has had the housings painted yellow, 222 has not And filling in of the steps under the lights, 222 has had it done, 225 not yet. The following year (2006) the green/silver/yellow intercity livery
  21. Crab/Dace rake looks good. A rapidly developing manufacturer should consider making them....
  22. The Fat Controller was most insistent on this matter and indicated that he would become very cross if this situation was not resolved.
  23. Move forward to 2009/10
  24. There was talk of a similar small shunt loco to be acquired for use in Inchicore to replace the last of the 141's, but usually a spare 071/201 does the honours now
  25. Its moreso the RPSI stuck in the late 1950's thats the problem, in every aspect. I'm a former working volunteer before anyone thinks I should join to help....
