  1. Expected in 2018. From Mr Paddy Murphy himself.
  2. No, just the 12 of those, currently at Limerick
  3. Very second hand information there, not to mention from RMweb where rumours are instantly taken as fact
  4. Now that Stepaside Gardee Stayshon is reopened, Minister Ross is truly unstoppable
  5. Never depend on it being on time, any number of factors can get in the way. Id still want to be at the scheduled stop a few minutes before the due arrival time
  6. Its hardly a dark art making changes to a model. Some people are completely terrified at the prospect of it and like to tell others this also. Its not the dark art you say it is
  7. Was an old Laminate Brake coach, modified with a flat roof to make it more suitable to work on top of. The Pantograph was raised to earth the overhead wires. Now scrapped as detailed above, all overhead line maintenance work done with road/rail trucks that can be seen behind Connolly Station
  8. Its the risk you take with ebay. For every person who got a bargain there is someone who recorded a loss. Same way there are always people who match 99p opening bids and dont bid any more even if the item sells for £50 or more. Ebay wont give the value of an item, only what someone is willing to pay, whether its a high or low price
  9. No point using 112's given they have the later 00's style headlights and the IE windows. Best option is 111, 8113 or 080,073 or 086 and some paint
  10. Other items too for the hilarity.
  11. That statement is nothing but cloaking your own opinion as fact. Its gotten easier to have better models but there have always been those who strove for better. A prime example for Irish modellers would have been Cyril Fry The internet came along at the right time for Willie, an easy retirement. Was a big adventure heading out to Bray on the Dart too
  12. What kind of a request is that. Wastes resources and there are more important things to worry about. Support the magazines by buying them
  13. A lot easier to buy a Murphys one and go with that. Time has passed these kits by
  14. You brushed on this before and even admitted to owning a 201 http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/5325-Mk4-bodge-mad-idea-or-doable
  15. Post removed by Warbonnet Reason - Antagonising post
  16. The standard of both MIR kits and decals was not great then and especially not now. Anything else?
  17. Have to ask why they are even bothering with a lot of items, given some items are now available RTR and other manufacturers have moved in with kits and transfers. Also the previous supplier of the brass overlays is no longer in business
  18. There was very little of interest at it whatsoever. All exhibitors need to be reminded that they are putting on a show for the paying public and not just playing trains. Very disappointing and not for the first time
  19. The term 'kits' is being very kind to these, a lot of work needed
  20. Just pop the ones that are connected to the cabs out, leave the rest in. Also shouldnt the handrails be weathered too?
  21. It wouldnt be fun if it was easy. There are other hobbies
  22. Id disagree with that, plenty of good quality kits available now and also RTR items from OOWorks and Provincial Wagons. Also the Bachmann GNR signalbox.
  23. Market here not big enough for dedicated railwayiana auction houses. Might mean a few bargains when it comes to dropping the hammer
  24. https://www.purcellauctioneers.ie/catalogue/EC143CDF71FE633714CD229813CDBD1C/81B29AB6FA187A02A829C1899B734425/irelands-largest-railwayana-auction/?show=96 A lot of staffs, a lot of it is not railway related, but there are a few hidden gems among the rubbish
