And we are surprised? Great advertisement for the current rpsi regime it must be said. And im a former working member before anyone gets all 'well join and do something about it'
  2. Market rate alas, problem with UK sellers now is that a lot of them wont sent outside of the UK due to the 'B' thing. Best to ask before the auction ends / clicking buy it now
  3. It still bears a scar or two from this incident today
  4. Don't forget that was an unwanted child from the GNRB breakup, and as said above from a steam mindset also. Kept failing as it had to be at a complete standstill before the reverser could be engaged to change direction - unlike a steam loco, drivers used to handling steam did the same with it, and used to blow the control circuits. Its German roots so soon after WW2 meant it would never have visited the UK, never mind its bigger loading gauge holding it back. Being the black sheep of the larger family didnt do it any favours, despite its impressive performance
  5. 3 on order, cant wait. As good as the A's and Deltics are, this is what I'm waiting for. Will be the most advanced locos ever made in OO scale too......
  6. One less night to go to the pub
  7. Be great if it happened, there was an attempt made a few years ago around the Laois area which didn't work out sadly. With the right determined people anything is possible. A lot more to a club than playing with toy trains. At least now with the sheer amount of RTR available there has never been a better time to get involved.

Correct, plus the usual facebook heroes wanting to restore it to mainline condition. Was originally preserved in place of 001 by Irish Rail but quickly turned in a spares box for 003/039

    Customs & VAT

Hattons are registered in Ireland for VAT so anything you order directly (not using the locker service) should arrive promptly
  12. Would have taken at least an hour if not two to winch it out of the plane and onto the trailer, need to keep everything reasonable level so nothing was damaged, not at least the plane If they were needed for freight they would all be out and about. Its a clear indication of how much freight has been lost down the years Not that important in the bigger scheme of things, 121 was one of, if not the first EMD loco to be exported to Europe and it was not preserved for this reason, despite rumours to the contary
  13. After previously saying that they would have it in May and never Easter again . Easter is the wrong time and there was me thinking WMRC had learned after a few times....
  14. Heard your shoutout, good music to play trains with

And as if by magic my stuff turned up, nothing to do with charges ultimately, just the sheer amount of stuff caused it to do laps of D12 for the guts of a month So as clearly proven, if you want it soonish, courier - DHL,DPD,UPS etc. Take the hit, its just how it is now alas, back to pre 1992 days
  18. Just the way it has gone now alas. The late and much missed Jim Bayle used to do repairs, but even he used to roll his eyes at people wanting to fit DCC to Triang Princess's....

I am now in the same quandary. Items from Scotland doing several laps of the D12 sorting facility. They say that its not marked correctly and the onus is on the sender who I've been in contact with to classify it correctly. If the seller does this does it need to go back to its country of origin or can an post go on the information they can be given. I'm thinking the former only.........
  21. A very comprehensive range of RTR GNRI stock, produced by IRM. Now long sold out and commanding very high prices. They were produced due to One person said they were leaving the hobby due to a lack of RTR GNRI stock and they obliged that person
  22. Unlikely given theres a mere 3 coaches in the pic, after 113 arrived they rarely worked on the Enterprise. Its deputising for a 80 class set here
  23. Nice, definitely a local service given the length of the train, my guess is Portadown to Bangor, they tended not to stray too far from Belfast once they were off the Enterprise, especially for passenger work, Freight and the odd CE train was different though!!

Avoid postman padraig completely - use/ask for a courier instead. Parcel2go are good if the sender cant/wont do it
