  2. anyone that got a window seat in my old school was sure to get a belt of the old wooden backed duster on the head if you even thought about looking out .......what made it so difficult (i wont say hard) was that there was the girls school right accross the canal - torcher on a hot day, but worth the pain!!

  13. lesson well learnt! but try and remember that by the time we arrived at this pub every night it was after several buckets of the local brew - all followed by free shots of some discusting horse p*ss (it seemed the thing to do at the time!), so i wouldnt have recognised the Pope if he was in front of me i must admit that it did give a nice atmosphere to the place.
