  1. I see Bachmann have given a date they expect delivery of their Plasser tamper machine, which is around July/August 2014. At last, i have one on order with Hattons for four and a half years. It will be a nice Birthday prescent.
  2. Thanks for all your comments. David the Brakevan chassis is Parkside Dundas 10ft wheel base but i shuold have used 12ft to be correct length. The doors were taken from an old hornby brakevan, but you could make your own.
  3. Yes C-Rail container tank kit & Studio scale models transfers.
  4. Here is a picture of one of my Bruhn tanks with my new Kone reach stacker by Oxford diecast. And here is a pic of the real thing from Bruhn website. Bruhn Tank & Kone Crane..bmp
  5. Here are some pic's of my CIE Brakevan moved here from an old post.
  6. It looks like a great model, very nice and well built. Can't wait to see the finished paint work. Well done
  7. Hi Dave, I am working on a Worsley Works Park Royal, Here are some pic's. Not a bad kit but you do have to make seats and roof yourself. I will put more pic's on my workbench thread when i get her painted.
  8. Hi Kirley, on SSM website go to transfers then freight and scroll down to F12 with pic of ploughvan.
  9. Thanks, I got the transfers from studio Scale Models.
  10. Thank's for your kind words. Some of the parts used are as follows. Hooks are by MJT No 2953, Buffers by MJT No 2350 and brakepipes by MJT No 2950. The yellow hand wheels are a brass etch from DC Kits.
  11. They all look fantastic and great pictures. I hope to build one of these sometime in the future and this will be a great help. A great thread many thanks for sharing your work with us.
  12. At last i got my first CIE Ballast Wagon finished, here are a couple of pic's plus a pic of my ballast ploughvan i made a while back.
  13. Hi All, Here is a pic of a provinial wagons cattle wagon kit that i built a while back, i think it turned out ok.
  14. Just moved this from an old thread. NIR Ballast Wagon. Built from Cambrian Models kit C67 SR 40T Hopper Wagon, SSM Transfers, Ballast is from Woodland Scenics Med Grey. The paint is Humbrol Insignia yellow 154. Not a bad kit to build but some tricky bits on the two ends.
  15. beautiful job, looks so good. Can i ask are the yellow & black stripes done with tape ?
  16. Hi Nelson, if you click on resources at the top & then click on prototype drawings page 6 there are some drawings for NCC Vans. Hope that helps, Good Luck.
  17. That's a great build, and the weathering makes all the difference. Can you tell me what this machine was used for?
  18. Very nice work as usual david, can i ask do you varnish the wagons and what do you use spray or brush and does it effect the weathering powders?
  19. Thanks David, 50-50 is easier to mix. The longer cure time gives more time to mess about with it before it starts to set, i think i will try your's. the rubber mould i use capures every detail and is tough. It doesn't say anything about shelf life, but it's good.
  20. I think i will just rest them on top and i might put something under the frame. The hoppers will have ballast in them so it will look ok from the top.
  21. Totally super job so far. It's a lot of work and looking forward to more pic's. I might try one myself sometime.
  22. Thank for your comments. The Buffers are from MJT 2350 and the mould is one piece. I will also do a 22ft flat for Bell containers. It would be hard to mass produce as it took long enough to do one.
  23. Hi David, I got my moulding rubber from Sylmasta, The rubber mould is pretty good just pour over your master and wait 12 hours, i gave it 24hours but it worked out ok. the resin sets very quick 4 minutes but you need more time to get the bubbles out. What is your resin like? I have put some Pic's up on My workbench thread you can see how it looks.
  24. Hi, This thread will be used for all of my creations & i will put my older posts here also. here are some pic's of a 20tf flat i have made from a resin casting that i made. It took a lot of time making the master but i think it has turned out ok. I need about 30 of these to build some Ballast wagons & Cement bubbles so it should help speed things up.
  25. they look great, very realistic. Can you tell me what resin you have used as i have been using one myself from Sylmasta and it leaves a lot of bubbles in the casting so i might try a different type. I will post up some pic's shortly of the 20ft flat that i have made from resin. it has turned out ok, just about another 30 to go. I will use them for Ballast wagons & Cement bubbles.
