Hi

Due to some requests from newer members who have not seen the original pics in this thread I am in the process of replacing all the Photobucket pics

I have not been able to access Photobucket today so I took some new pics of the items in question

I will be starting at the beginning and doing one or two pics a day so bear with me

I might do more when I can access Photoemptybucket!

Enjoy

That's great news.  Dave, your thread has been one of the best resources on the forum and it would have been a great shame to loose it.  Well done and thanks for taking the time to reinstate the lost photo treasure trove from "Middle Brackenville". :)

While slowly restoring the first few pages I came across this set which I previously did not catalogue

L149801

One of the odd sets with 2 Mk 111's and a Mk 11

One of the Mk 111's is a Restaurant # 7411

Mk 11 is #5201 & other Mk 11 is #7115

Troops

I have been beavering away at restoring the pics on the thread

Last 7 days spending a couple of hours a day at it

Unfortunately the pics are scattered all over the place (like madmans shite I hear you say)

So whereas the fix itself is easy, thanks in no part to the new uploader on the site, finding them is a chore

So bear with me and hopefully a few more weeks should see it rstored

First 10 pages are fixed with the exception of most of the cravens which I still cannot find

Might have to take them out of their boxes t be re photoed Jasus!!!!!

Jouef Mk 3 coaches, made in 1980 so nearly 40 years old

Made in Ireland boxes, 4 of which were still wrapped in original Cellophane

You  never know what will turn up at these small events, always worth a visit

Holy moly thats 900 tons of dried cement, the year is 1875 when 45 wagons from 15 packs made history as one of the longest wagon formations in CIE history. Well done Dave. Enjoy.

PS: What sort of camera were you using?  Some autofocus when switched into video mode and don't refocus unless prompted to, hence the background image at the start of the vid remains in focus while the stock closer to the camera is blurred, especially after all that superb detail IRM added!!! :) More light in the room might also help increase the DOF making precise focus less vital.

Sounds like a good price for the time
I have some old records of prices achieved for N Class's at the time

A Cherry Black mint in box one sold for £135 stg, not sure what the rate was at the time

A Green one with Lt Ed cert etc mint sold for €305!

Good ones in any livery are making €100 + with the Green still commanding €120 +

Brilliant as always Dave, I get more misty eyed over these old Lima catalogues and sets than anything else. I assume that Lexie Tynan is no longer with us? He would be a great man to talk to for an insight into those days.

Just for you Fran, a little break from your Accurascale, non Irish! gig

1976 Lima catalogue, no Irish content

However it shows HO scale Class 33's with OO gauge couplings

They are catalogued as OO, but they only have 4 digit catalogue numbers, 00 gauge have 6

So now I am wondering which came first, the HO IR 33 with HO or OO couplings?

Well the Murphy Models MM1710 arrived at the Talbot Hotel Toy & Train Fair yesterday

I think it would have great to see its reference number as MM1916, but thats just the old republican in me

His second new issue,MM1509, Early Livery Snack Car was unfortunately left in his garage, so hopefully I will have some pics later in the week.
