Flying Snail Posted November 23 Posted November 23 (edited) Looking very good under the lights - the scene has really come to life with the lights and the people! Edited November 23 by Flying Snail 2 1
derek Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Quick question for you @Darius43, did you just go "plug and play " for the light s, ? Or did you take the "proper" route. And if plug and play, what did you use? .Looks great. Thanks, Derek.
Darius43 Posted November 24 Author Posted November 24 (edited) The lights are from Kyte’s Lights and are wired to parallel bus bars (copper tape strips) beneath the platform. So not plug and play. Cheers Darius Edited November 24 by Darius43 1 1 2
Patrick Davey Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Magnificent. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those passengers are miniature versions of actual people....... 1 1 1
Patrick Davey Posted November 24 Posted November 24 @Darius43 - nice platform seats, what is their origin?
Darius43 Posted November 24 Author Posted November 24 Hi Patrick. I found the seats on eBay. They came ready made but were a bit plasticky so I sprayed them black and painted the timber slats green. Cheers Darius 1 1

DJ Dangerous Posted Monday at 13:49 Posted Monday at 13:49 The lights look amazing, they bring a sense of life to everything. 1
derek Posted Monday at 19:52 Posted Monday at 19:52 Don't think my question on the lights went down too well. Apologies, didn't mean to cause offence .
Darius43 Posted Monday at 22:47 Author Posted Monday at 22:47 (edited) Hi Derek. No apology necessary. I wasn’t in the least offended by your question. Cheers Darius Edited Tuesday at 07:35 by Darius43 2
Darius43 Posted Tuesday at 19:20 Author Posted Tuesday at 19:20 Sea wall surface made using Wills crazy paving sheets cut to fit and blended together with a skim coat of plaster of Paris. Plan is to colour using Woodland Scenics rock pigments. Cheers Darius 8
Darius43 Posted Wednesday at 14:39 Author Posted Wednesday at 14:39 Sea wall painted and temporarily in place. Cheers Darius 12
Patrick Davey Posted Wednesday at 16:40 Posted Wednesday at 16:40 Excellent viewing angle - and the finish of the sea wall is superb too, one can hear the waves...... 2
Mol_PMB Posted Wednesday at 18:12 Posted Wednesday at 18:12 Wow, super work. There’s no way I can keep up with your pace - I’ve been working on one building for a fortnight. 1
David Holman Posted Wednesday at 21:09 Posted Wednesday at 21:09 Will be a very good place for photographs.
Galteemore Posted Wednesday at 21:37 Posted Wednesday at 21:37 Excellent. There was a very similar stretch between Eden and Downshire, 4 miles along from Whitehead. Crossing the line here to get to the sea could be rather exciting - what you did NOT want to happen was being trapped between the rails and the sea wall when a train was coming….clearance wasn’t generous! 2 1
