Although presumably not quite that if something Irish should happen to rumble along.

If everyone committed to buying 2x of the Irish loco we could probably do it for a similar price…

While I'd buy three 0 gauge 800s, the easiest way to promote 2x purchase is probably something like a 141 or 121

So, for each of us that isn't going to buy two O gauge Irish diesels, @DJ Dangerous will have to add two to his order? There will be a whole container heading to the Canaries at this rate!

A container of life-ruining, bankrupting, homelessness-inducing pure joy.

Once it’s something juicy like an 071, an A Class or even a 121, I’m in for a handful or two.

121’s would almost demand to be purchased in pairs, and they’re so tiny that you could easily fit six on a shelf.

141 / 181 or a C Class would inspire slightly less joy, but still joy nonetheless.

The ship can stop off on the way north to cut down delivery costs.

I don't really see a problem here.

And he needn't worry about being homeless - he'll have a container to live in! I seem to recall he's even got a convenient place to park it near the beach.

Amazing seeing the demand for O Gauge when the pricing is so good.

Class 121, 122, 149 and 150 railcars went on sale on Thursday, and sold out the same day.

In-stock went from 91 lines on Thursday to 60 a day later.

That’s a serious amount of O Gauge out there.

Saw somebody share this video of a Heljan Class 117 railcar on YT the other day:

At the right price, those Heljan models seem very popular!

From the sale, one 48DS is enough for me - my O gauge layout is only small and industrial, and I already had a Heljan 03.

I need to save up my money for a fleet of IRM 4mm scale C class locos...

Only five units of the NSE livery Class 73 left, out of what I assume was a delivery of twelve.

Seven sold in 24 hours. For O Gauge, that’s a lot!

Wonder whether the O Gauge 071’s will be Heljan or Accurascale? Since the loyalty points are specific to each platform, I need to be careful…

Good source of power bogies for an 80 Class…

So maybe we’ll see an O Gauge 80 before an O Gauge 071.

Wouldn’t be too surprised.

The O Gauge railcars sell ten times faster than even the fastest-selling O Gauge locos.

Perfect for end to end layouts, which I’d assume to be far more common than loops in O Gauge.

The most popular O gauge railcars tend to be single unit affairs. A typical 80 class consist of 3 cars would eat enormous amounts of space. There are O gauge layouts on the circuit smaller than a 3 car set !

Very true on the size of many layouts, but THIS two-car sold out within a few hours when it went live, as fast as, or faster than, the single-cars.

The unpowered trailer cars likewise, sold out as fast as the powered single-cars.

A three-car 80 may be too long for some, but the two-car railcars are definitely not.

I’d have no problem removing the centre car to run a two-car 80 if that was all that space permitted.

That’s interesting- thanks. I’d be interested to see how many are for display rather than running. A terminus layout based on something like Larne Harbour with space for a few rail cars would be fabulous but beyond my space! I was intrigued to see how on David Holman’s Northport Quay, which is designed for 6w and SLNC bogies, introducing a single standard length GNRI bogie carriage made an enormous visual and operational impact. The very first O gauge coach I bought was a Heljan mk1 which I had to send back as it would have completely overwhelmed the layout - prob explains why I have a thing for small coaches !

I’d say that a lot are for display, but even then, you’d need a good bit of space - something like 50cm per coach,
