richrua Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Hello folks. Wanted: Murphy Models 071. Any CIE/IR/IE livery, but would give preference to the black and silver. Not too worried about minor flaws if the price is right. Cash waiting because I think I deserve it! Quote
Killucan2 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Plenty in the shops, how much have you got to spend as they hold there price. Quote
73.River.Roe. Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Rails of Sheffield still have some left at £124.50 plus postage. Quote
aclass007 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 £125 in Hattons. The postage will be cheaper than from Rails of Sheffield..... Quote

DiveController Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Saw this thread. Looking at 071s. A lot has changed at the model shop in a couple of months - Eur175! Quote
RedRich Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 That's because the new grey livery models are a limited edition like the NIR 111 AND 113 Locos. The other earlier releases are still the same price as when released. With wages rising in China the next releases from MM will be more expensive. I don't have a problem with the price increases as I think the models are worth the money for the enjoyment I get from them. Rich, Quote
DiveController Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Hi Rich, I agree with you about the Grey and 111/113. The others are Eur160 which is a lot more than in the thread. They must have been having a sale at that point! Missed it :-( Quote
Riversuir226 Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Keep an eye on the exchange rate as well, a few years back 141/181's could be got for €80 as the euro was near equal to sterling. Sign up for Rails or other retailers sites as they do offers on stock from time to time. Off course keep an eye out for lads selling stock here . As for the 071/111's they are excellent models along with the rest of the range. Quote
DiveController Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Good advice. Will do. I offered a guy on the site a million dollars for a loco. He declined. Must be the exchange rate! :-)) Quote
