The class 31 is seen here hauling some oil tanks as it overtakes a 50 hauled TPO train,

The 56 passes in the opposite direction with a laden MGR train.

Rewind back to November 1983 and we see a brand new class 58 locomotive 58 020 “Doncaster works” fresh from the plant arrive at the MPD on Ashburton grove,

It will be based here adding to the ever increasing fleet of motive power at the MPD.

Having been out of commission for a few months,it was back to some BR blue and grey action this afternoon,

I had a custom built steel frame constructed that allows the layout to be rotated and dropped down and moved with ease through the room door,

Here are a few photos from operations today.

The Yorkshire traction double decker heads over the road bridge en route to the village of Ashburton grove, as the DMU is enroute to Doncaster and a 31 hauled oil train goes in the Leeds direction.

It is!?

Yes it is. The standard of the models look so good as do the buildings and scenics. Takes a lot of time and skill.

If the eyesight was up to working in the wee gauge I could be persuaded to have a go. Especially at a layout like Ashburton Grove. Doing something like Copenhagen Fields is what would make me forget it.
