db1969 Posted March 2, 2017 Author Posted March 2, 2017 Hi after a few weeks away starting a new job i have found the time to return to working on the layout .
GNRi1959 Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Very impressive, don't forget the chimney pots, fascia boards, barge boards and guttering. Every little bit of detail helps.
db1969 Posted April 27, 2017 Author Posted April 27, 2017 Early start on my next building a watermill
db1969 Posted May 4, 2017 Author Posted May 4, 2017 A little bit of weathering to the station house. Light washes of water colour over the base colour .
db1969 Posted December 19, 2017 Author Posted December 19, 2017 I been awhile since I last posted an update. Been doing a bit more on the station house. 3
Glenderg Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Any man who separately applies each roof tile is deserving of some form of medal. Am thinking "Knights Cross with Bangor Blues" Richie.
WRENNEIRE Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Roofers do it all the time, only medals want is €1 per
db1969 Posted December 21, 2017 Author Posted December 21, 2017 Started to make trees. A low relief hedge , one with ivy on the trunk and one starting to change its colour for autumn 2
db1969 Posted May 16, 2018 Author Posted May 16, 2018 After working on a few other things I'm back working o the layout. Started Railbus 2a 3
KMCE Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 Hello Derek, That's a cracking start to your layout. By coincidence, I also used the Florencecourt station house in my Port Cumtha layout due to its small size and good detail. I modeled it as it is now, rather than how it was, as in my case the layout is fictional (hence the name!). I'm working in 4mm, however given the amount of card cut for the various buildings on my layout, that cutting machine you mentioned, does look interesting and may have saved my fingers!! Good luck with the layout - one to watch. Ken 2
David Holman Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 That looks a nice job. Proper track gauge too - every little helps!
