Bit of work on the layout, mostly built a bridge and did some tidying up...

I need to reduce the height of that signal, far too tall.

Really nice work on the bridge. Although a small detail, the H beams really add to the appearance of the structure. Top job =D

Its a Bank Holiday, so nothing is moving at Castle Kerry.

... but some strange rolling stock has appeared.  Doubtless it will be gone as soon as the gricer grapevine swings into action, and no-one will ever believe it

I've been having some fun with the old LokProgrammer, so here is a very uninteresting video

Love Island is uninteresting. This isn't :)

I forgot to say earlier - there's a font you can download called "bunchlo" which is the best available equivalent to the font the GSR used for the bilingual station nameboards. CIE just used plain Roman script, with black letters on a white background. All of those old black signs with "white"* letters were done by the GSR.

(* In model form, use cream, as the white - if it ever truly WAS "white" - was discoloured by CIE days to an extent that would make actual white on a layout look unrealistic).

A wee taster of things to come...

A rough back of a fag packet calculation suggests a smidge over two scale miles for a train leaving the station throat on the raised section, traversing the layout and returning...

Progress on The Big Station has been delayed by warped plywood and work, but I've been twiddling about with planning it out.

If I can escape chores long enough to get a new sheet of ply, I should be able to crack on with it this week.

Shame Kid, Looked excellent too but I get to that point several times a year! Sit back take a breadth and reset!

I had massive issues with Digital Cobalts losing addresses.  Had some points ballasted and ended up taking those up to check I removed the Frog Wire to isolate it , in the end I did have them done correct.

Seems I have to send back the 18 I bought as there was a issue with that batch.

Now with poxy brexit this should be fun getting these across and back with out getting caught for Vat.

Lads, sad to report that the Castle Kerry line has been closed and lifted, and all the CIE stock that's starred in this thread will be for sale on the Bay of E over the next few days.

Be quicker selling it here, less messing than ebay
