201bhoy Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 'Mon Galway! Hopefully Joe Canning will be at his best! Quote
enniscorthyman Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I fear Galway could be in for a backlash today, however if Galway turn up to Kikennys level of intensity anything can happen. Quote
BabyGM Posted September 9, 2012 Author Posted September 9, 2012 As long as Henry Shefflin doesn't pass Ring and Doyle's record I'm happy as Ring and Doyle worked hard for it as there were more teams in contention whereas now Kilkenny have Been in dominance for about 10 years making it much easier for him to pass out the record of two of the greatest hurlers of all time Quote
201bhoy Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 'Mon the lads! I thought the cats would run away with it, but as you said not yet! Quote

Horsetan Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Hurling. The most dangerous game ever to involve several men with sticks. 'tis a gas. Quote
Kilkenny Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 (edited) I sense a slight Galway bias here!! We'll see lads, we'll see. Let the best team win Edited September 13, 2012 by Kilkenny Quote

RedRich Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 My Dad is from Kilkenny so I was delighted for him and everyone involved with Kilkenny to see them win today. Looking at the success that Kilkenny have achieved over the last 14 years other Counties (including my own) should be burying the bitterness and trying to emulate what they have done. The commitment and effort from the panels in that time has led to their almost invincibility in hurling. Try to be like they are mentally, play like they do and you might have a chance. Rich, Quote
enniscorthyman Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Well what can you say about this Kilkenny team, the Hunger for victory is unsurpassed. Here in Wexford Hurling seems to be dying which is alarming to me.Football, soccer and rugby are claiming a lot of youngsters away from hurling.1996 will be Wexfords last All Ireland for a very long time. BabyGM Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 It certainly now is time for a change The past few years have been dominated too much by Kilkenny With o'shea back with tipp hopefully they can mount an attack on kilkenny Quote
RedRich Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 It certainly now is time for a changeThe past few years have been dominated too much by Kilkenny With o'shea back with tipp hopefully they can mount an attack on kilkenny Will any other county have the continuity, hunger for titles, and success that Kilkenny have had over a period. I don't see it myself. All Ireland titles aren't won in September they are won over a year or years in Kilkennys case. The belief and togetherness of the whole panel and the driving force of Brian Coady is what makes them successful. Look at how they celebrated today. The hunger and desire is there in bucket loads and as long as that is the case and the squad continues to build on success and new talent it will continue for as long as they want it. Rich, Quote
201bhoy Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 God I'm sick of that shower winning the all-ireland. We need change!!!!!!!!!!! Quote

Tarabuses Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 God I'm sick of that shower winning the all-ireland. We need change!!!!!!!!!!! You cannot have enough of a good thing . Change will come though, maybe when Brian Coady retires? It would have been strange if Galway had won the All Ireland as Leinster champions. Quote
