OBB HOe layout "Connafeld"
Georgeconna replied to Georgeconna's topic in Continental European Modelling
Small update on the layout stalled due to Govt funding but on the roll again. Laid some more paster bandages down on the lower level, need to finish off the fiiddle yard Catenary guides there before I can close off the tunnels Carved and coloured a test piece of insulation foam as a rock face and well happy with the outcome. Picked up some nice cobble from the scenic chap at the Wexford show and some lovely trees (lazy!!) so I hope to incorporate those into the hostel. Also will have a concrete loading area set up on the west siding, bit tight but thats life!! I plan I plane -
Good overview of the show here with a cameo of yours truly @ 3.36 . my god I have aged.

Interesting must take a look into it. handy to have the ol 36 trillion debt hanging about then. No wonder they are trying to tackle that. See those invasion barges they built? deadly looking yoke. Takes the Mulberry harbours into the space age!

Being nosey here, are ye making the other stuff to so? -
Excellent, Looking forward to the Cork tunnel construction pack next! Never a fan of double Chimneys (except 9F's) and those buffers do look puny and should not be there but yep I love it! I'll Defo add a least one to the collection. Well done on taking the plunge. This looks to be a flagship model, the Cab back head detail is amazing, Those rivets made me gasp. Cheered when I heard that a speaker will be under the chimney!! About time that happened too. Ok the price is a bit of a pill but tbh if the production run is small then these will only go up in Value. A better investment than the bank All around a stunner.

Man alive thought I missed this!! Looking a the comments I doubt a C Class would warrant this type of Launch really especially with Railway Historian Royalty there. Something RPSI I expect, hopefully not a black tank engine. (90 excluded!!) looking forward to the launch, Hopefully I wont fall asleep on the couch and miss it. will an influencer live stream it I wonder.

The "Eyre Lee Bird" railtour Cork-Galway-Return 5th April 2025
Georgeconna replied to Niles's topic in What's On?
Fransiscan well is still there but not into those chainy Benny McCabe 'heritige'pubs. Stay out of the centre really if you want real, below list are my go to places. Great for afternoon pints. Calnans any pubs up Shandon Street The Oval (Bennys Pub) Fordes Vicarstown Bar Hi Bi Long Valley. Bradlys. Welcome Inn Idle hour Charlies. Plan well and you can get a nice pub trail going! IF you are staying up Northside near St Lukes Bellevue - my old local, Marie sadly long gone, after hours escape route down the side!! Henchys -
Same with this Liquid lead in the Radome and behind sorted it, I have built over 15 of these yokes so well used to them now!

Hi Folks, Just finished this week, This is the Airfix F.6 1/72 kit with Model Alliance decals. Depicted as a Saudi Air Force Machine in 1977 based at King Abdul Aziz AB. 2 of these jets were painted in desert camo, one with duck egg blue undersides which is the one I did and another with complete wrap around camo both scheme lasted for a month before they were returned to natural metal finish as the Saudi's applied the paint themselves and it affected the performance and added quite a bit of weight to the Frame.

Finished recently this is an Airfix Lightning F.6 depicted as a 5 Sqn machine in 1984. Three of these birds got sharks teeth for an APC they were attending. A nice kit to build but needs test fitting as you go along.
