  1. Seen this popping up earlier, interesting challenge for some great mind! https://www.world-of-railways.co.uk/news/3d-printed-irish-monorail-kit-from-newman-miniatures
  2. They should be cleared at this stage. flight is up with revenue all ready ::) 2 mins to do the entry... Collection later, some lucky lad might even get to play with one later tonight!
  3. Yep I don't understand the popularity either too but perhaps carpet layouts are more normal than we thought! Jenny Kirk is at it too.A snip at 26 minutes unboxing a Duchess. At least her layout is daycent. The Selling or the Merchandise TAT bugs me too, the world has enough of crap as it is. Only 3.33 for a sticker. from Jenny...
  4. "and stop tying poor animals to the tracks at the top of the Glanmire tunnel!." Is this actually happening, Never heard of it.
  5. Hi Robert, is it the smaller ones your are looking for or is it the Large Logo's? I have a few spare of both. All Waterslide. George
  6. I might have some in my Transfer/ Decal box Robert. I'll take a look there now and take some pics and post them up. George
  7. The boom times are back but for how long!
  8. Personally I find it a Shame to see the trees being cut down. I much prefer to see them in situ, all you have to do is walk up or down the road to see the view. I am not sure the Stub remains enhance the area.
  9. Yay a Dublin yoke!. Pressures off thankfully. Good luck with it though.
  10. I must admit this is one of the nicest layouts Irish wise out there. Captures the feel of the countryside excellently.
  11. Managed to kick this into gear over the past 2 weeks, P38 car filler used around the Bulwarks and sanded smooth, the Deck drainage holes and the prop shaft hole drilled and filed out, the Skeg and rudder are put on and fill used to blend the whole lot in and again sanded along with the white metal rope and Anchor eyes. Now waiting for a motor and universal coupling to arrive in the post and I can set the prop shaft in for good.
  12. 2 years at this and still not a whole lot to show for it, but spose I'll just tip away, JS models came out with e Stone Warehouse and a suggestion on RMWEB to suggest a brick one was taken up and produced and sent across the sea. Here some photos of this, I have begun to paint in Different brick colours and I will go over this again with a misting of brick red to bed the lot down. Nice kit and went together with ease, Sometimes it good to do easy stuff to be the mojo rolling! Thread on RMWEB with the lads layout and his website, the Canel Warehouse end would be good for an Irish layout. https://www.jsmodels.co.uk/ https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/152619-jsmodels-latest-update/
  13. I stay away from Humbrol Varnishes these days, I use the alclad stuff now due to that very problem.
  14. Still hard enough to put the few bob away and I have not even order 1 A class yet! The joys of Multiple Interests is a killer!
  15. Good contrast, The SSM one still stands up well against the RTR jobs,
  16. The Schools do the job they are meant to do and very well. Tender and front bogie pick up make it a sweet runner. Even with a Die cast Chassis a 4-4-0 would not have the traction to pull what it needs to pull. I have no issue with the design. Copy that being in Aus.
  17. Start saving your pennies, they are far from Cheap. Thank god I don't like buses.
  18. You could easily do this yourself Noel, Your nearly there as it is with your efforts these days.
  19. Man alive Buz, I have 3 Schools class with Traction tyres and they are possibly the best runners out of everything I have and are great pullers, I've had them now for a good number of years. Lack of Spare Tyre's? Try here, there are quite a few to choose from: https://www.petersspares.com/index.jsp?searchStr=traction+tyres You have to wonder what the Spares situation will be like for the Irish stuff in years to come, Already hard to get hhandrails for the 141's. Perhaps a lot of dead locos?
  20. Yes Pity they did not do the Water Tank and the side dates ala Sheffield Park and have a complete station for chaps. I actually Drove past the Auld house about 2 years back and was surprised it was actually a real gaf. Like many other rural Pubs it is now history. Bit dearer than the model though if you want it https://www.myhome.ie/commercial/brochure/the-auld-house-killamery-callan-kilkenny/4207812
  21. Noel still is stuck in the Triang there Rich! Some Cracking UK stuff right across the board these days. 1980's German stuff was classy, Weighty but came with a hefty price tag. Never could get over the little bumps in the middle of the sleeper though. I remember visiting a colleague of my fathers work In Ballincollig, He had a Marklin set up in his sons room. Used to love visiting as of course I would be ushered upstairs for the duration of the visit. All the collection was sold off as he pegged it in his late 40's, (Heavy Smooker) I got one loco from his wife for my efforts in 're oganising' the layout each time I visited!
  22. Wow Mine just arrived a few mins ago, Close call, the missus out doing the messages. Smashing bit of kit when stuck behind a Loco. Tiny bottom part of the bogie axle cover was flying around in the box, took me a while to figure what that actually was until I saw the exploded view on the back of the leaflet included and a brake wheel broken off so must of had some knocks during transit. No have to get the glue out to fix and to have a play at lunchtime. Fair play top notch stuff IRM dudes.
  23. When the high Spec Accurascale Bulleids start to come out then the big H might get a wobble or two!
  24. Sweet, I'll look forward to the 3 hours Sams train version at a later stage.
  25. Class 66 was the Hattons duplicate (lots of complaints with that one and the rocking motion whilst running, Rails to had problems with Terriers too), In all fairness they wade into the water and get burnt. They were giving out when Hornnby wanted to sell off the website directly too. I read that they were buying up other shops Baccy stock to flog on.
