  1. Thats nice Noel, I imagine those kinda 3D things will come out fully coloured to at some stage!!
  2. Thanks IRM for the info. Tired to get to the Museum twice, 1st time the missus ending up getting food poisoning and the 2nd time I ended up in hospital with a nose bleed from hell! 2 years time then!
  3. I looks a bit smaller than the previous one I saw. I think there is a mish mash of everything from US, Continental,Irish even a Chinese Loco if I am not mistaken there!. He has way to much stuff then don't we all it seems.

  5. damn no Mandy either, I'll have think of another present for her for xmas then...
  6. Looks good. I think I will skip the Dublin show Next year and try this instead as I have never been to the Museum yet either.
  7. Luckily I needed a few bob a few months back, After much deliberation I flogged off the 2 RTR ones I had and 2 bodies. Normally it does not work that way for me! Re the one Wind Screen, Que the loads of emails to IRM towers saying one wiper is missing off my Loco! there were loads of questions re the lights on the Black and Tan 141 with fellas coming in to the shop and saying only one light is working.
  8. Got to see these wagons in the Flesh last weekend and wow they looked superb. My finger hovering over the buy button at the moment. The Kids Braces may have to wait a small bit longer I reckon. The UK Wagons on show to were immense in every way too. The Etched steps on the PCA Cement Wagon were superb, As I mentioned to the Lads I should of Married a Chinese lady given their ability to produce models in such as fashion when compared to my efforts! It must be a fantastic feeling for all involved in IRM to achieve such excellent products in such a short time, Well Done.
  9. Ah I see some Steamers on show!. All I I saw was a Solo Class 15 and a 37 bombing around. TBH it did not hold my interest too long. However the layout should be some set up when it is complete. Some nice LNER pacific's Clattering down the P/way I hope at some stage would be sweet. The Control Panel is some set up too.
  10. Wow some buns there!. Looking forward to the Easter Excursion already! MMMMMmmm
  11. Oops. Seems I did not have my Glasses on when I posted that but it is a Class 26 in Green they have not a 33. 2nd time I nearly bought a 26 instead of a 33. They have no 33's in that sale.
  12. ah these Wagons were loverly in the flesh on Sunday, Hattons have Class 33 with a Fab price at the moment. STG 66 WOW! https://www.hattons.co.uk/StockDetail.aspx?SID=62755
  13. Had a nice day out on Sunday. Enjoyed meeting the usual Suspects and and wow that Tara wagon is so nice. Delighted too that I got some nice Bargains from a few traders during the day. Best Layout for me was an N Gauge one from the lads up north. Ardrath I think was the name of it. nicely executed, not too much clutter and always trains running. I also wonder why Exhibit unfinished layouts, the large German one and O gauge were on going projects. No Steam on the Wexford O gauge one Delighted to see the Tea and sandwiches on sale again, Very welcome!
  14. Just heard the Marathon will be on this Sunday which mean the city centre will be a no go area between certain times. Pain in the ar$e that now as I normally trundle down the Quays then to Clontarf and up to the school in the AM.
  15. Easy: Tis a 3D Figure Rendition of Fran and Patrick that you can paint yourself and stick in the cabs of the locos. 2 per pack but buy 3 packs get one for €0.50.
  16. FYI I used Humbrol 164 Satin dark sea Grey, Satin paint goes on a bit nicer too. If you are repainting an orange one I would suggest removing all the Printed Markings off as the outline will show through repaint.
  17. You have to wonder if a SMT Part goes bang on one of these yokes It must be a nightmare to locate. I Saw the Layout in Camden while impressive with all the Leccy Gizmos, to a Novice the electronics set up look a bit over engineered! It is meant to have some Green on it for the Dublin Show at the end of the Month so looking forward to seeing it again.
  18. I was going to head out to Watch this coming through Cork and back from Cobh but I looking at the weather forecast I will leave this to more Hardly Photographers and enjoy their pictures instead and do some circuits of the Isle of Man TT course on PS4 in the Warmth of me gaf.
  19. Whip out the wheel Sets and clean the Axles too, I did mine last week and there was a good bit of old oil and dirt there which contributed to poor running and re set the wheels using a Wheel Gauge. Kinda ok on a medium speed but pretty poor at slow speeds all this was on code 75.
  20. So picturesque with the fence. There must of been 100's of bodies found in the pit over the years after falling in.
  21. Sound if pretty sweet for sure. did you try the Magnet under the Track at all?
  22. Get a decent pin vice and the best Drill bits outs there, Skip on the drill bits and expect the worst. Eileen emporium sell these separately. as opposed to the crappy multi drill bits in the plastic box you get in some shops. Pin vice : https://uk.farnell.com/eclipse/121/pin-vice-0-1mm/dp/146443?gross_price=true&CATCI=pla-57332432781&CAAGID=14406255429&CMP=KNC-GUK-GEN-SHOPPING-ALLPRODGROUPS&CAGPSPN=pla&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_rjR7ajJ3QIVled3Ch2b5AHREAQYASABEgKzE_D_BwE&CAWELAID=120173390000050531 Drill bits: https://eileensemporium.com/index.php?option=com_hikashop&ctrl=category&task=listing&cid=1357&name=drills-drilling&Itemid=189 using the correct tools carefully you should not have any issue
  23. The 201s will bounce back once there off the shelves, Sure is an ugly looo though plus the fact the it hauled mostly Looooooooong Trains. Money also is thin on the ground with some fab stuff coming out these days with new Irish an UK outline stuff bursting at the seams.
  24. Sorted So. The cost of an Extra €50.00 is a bit heavy so I will stick with the Switch. much simpler to.
