  2. You be glad to know, i just ordered a grey set, to make a set, set me straight, i paint my white ones gray to weather and my grey ones white to weather?
  3. i wonder, were not the old wagons not more numerous, in 1860-1890's? i dont know, but i imagine, there must have been multiple wagons to transport goods given the amount of lines and lack of roads. anyway,,, cost e1000.00 = 30 wagons would be 10 sets of 3 per set at over 100.00 per set, wow, i better start bullied'ing the partner for the ready's plus two A's to pull them, 400squid, and weathering paint, yip.. its a millionaires hobby.
  4. a Hells kicten outing anybody? mite as well be talking to myself,
  5. Yes, I heard, I had posted both in different places at same time, oh dear
  6. i have hornby engine on an A body, its far too powerful and fast for what i need, and not heavy enough to keep the power weighed down onto the tracks- on the way up my 2 and 2.5/100 rising inclines (as is it called?) , it whizzes around so fast , its no fun even on the inclines wide bends, while a rake of heavy wagons slows it down and makes driving it bearable, , its usually packed away in box.. .
  7. nude train driver, religious comment, scandal politics, free beeeeer what ever it takes to get your attention, so far thats one person 'kinvara train' has replied, come on ,,, whos up for an outing to hells kitchen castlerea/?????

  9. Stranorlar, from Facebook Donegal railway heritage centre page,
  10. Sean would love if we all organised a trip. It would make his day. His knowledge seems to me to b like JHB'S n a few more about IRM... HE ONE OF YOUR OWN more than I can say about myself. I ask so he himself is updated on his collection by u lads before the mayo museum of country heritage gets it. For they will hide much of it. ..in the dark store for all eternity .. .
  11. Please invite d man on here. ..I may be an idiot when it comes to trains. But I know a real hero of heritage when I see one. Please invite the man . To join. I can pass on his email to you. What he has is more than a collection of railwayanna. He has thousands of unseen slides. Books n stuff. his son can log on for him. But that's not the point. He has a disused layout n a shelf full of models. A silverfox silver A. Which when I get home will upload pic .
  12. Just been in hells kitchen driving d A 55. Ideal place for Irm to launch their A. Woff woff. Strange n stranger again. You dont know the half of it .
  13. Today I visited Sean Browne in Hells Kitchen castlereagh Railway museum. Sean is a gent. He didnt know about IRM. I said sure the lads here mite invite him to join this form.. he's worthy of an invite unlike mortals like me who have to sign up... Anyway he's agreed to host a day for you all in the museum. He said no charge. But a few squid would hurt no one. Are ye on????? R ye. Go on go on.. No date yet. I drumming up support. It's an amazing collection.. just amazing. The ideal place to launch the A locos in front of his green A55.

  16. There an issue no one spotted with the new A's, n dog on train I thought that would get your attention, #@Atn'seeker! As someone who owns a website and knows how much time it takes to reply to posts and stuff, could everyone shut d fxxxxx up about class A's ,, and how wonderful they are and about the detail , why? AND THUS let the so often called 'lads' (workers) get back to work, i think they spend far too much time on IRM and not enough time in china or where ever there suppose to be working, heads down in a CAD no doubt, or packing plough boxes, or sum'it like that, in my day a Cad was a chancer type. don't know what the interest in Cads is. , got to go! there a dog on a train on RTE news, Irish rail seeking the owner 8.64 sallins to heuston, no doubt cos they want to charge the dog for the free ride.. theres a line to end with
  17. A sound option. "factory fitted sound option for the A Class currently being investigated" , yes please, i worry that i pre-bought an A, hopefully i can get the upgrade from already ordered A. to A with sound option fitted
  18. ID Backscenes ID503B Overcast Sky 15" is very irish, i went for paste, pasted wall, and back scene, both lightly, no problems
  19. I can see where the white feeder wire goes below the baseboard , could you not have the wire below the ballast as well?
  20. love the entire post, that near empty line in above photo, the ballast speaks miles about your attention to detail, just love it, and the wooden carraiges above. magic...
  21. is not every bit of modeling rail the same? you/I discover some last little item that needed to be finished before you can start the next bit. I saw the brass model in bray, very tasty, and the above gray loco 423 looks fab, "With the profusion of grey, the goods trains must have looked rather dreary making their way through a damp countryside." sure, the fire box glow and white smoke on a dark wet day would cheer us all up,
  22. until
NDMRS 2019 Exhibition will be held on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April at Bangor Grammar School.
