  10. Yes, Skerries loop, R&L. Very nice runs; Dublin-Drogheda-Dundalk-Skerries-Drogheda-Dublin. Agreed, great to see RPSI trains so well supported. .
  11. Easter Bunny trains for me today, back home from GB for a bit and doing some RPSI fundraising! Absolutely stellar running from 131 and her crew. 171 will have a hard job to beat her…and nice to see both @airfixfanand @jhb171achillin the flesh again…..after thirty years in the latter’s case. I may have taken the chance to take the odd detail pic….

  13. Yes, but 90 was designed for passenger work from day 1. 3BG is designed to move loose coupled trucks slowly over small distances…..

  15. Absolutely. For years afterwards, Dublin wags would go to the ticket office in Harcourt St and ask for ‘a single to Hatch St’……
  16. No expert, but guard iron (normally vertical in front of wheel to sweep debris off track)circled in green. Sandpipe (to put sand on wet rails) in blue

  20. IIRC York Road station also had them. One of the last duties of the WT class was the annual test of the hydraulics - presumably by allowing the Jeep to push against them.

As for me, I am returning to a long-stalled project to build an ex-GNRI 4-4-0, a J class….now on its second attempt at a chassis…..bottom pic shows attempt 1, before I managed to find a Beyer Peacock GA. Top pic shows bogie almost ready to roll.
