Canarian Container Anorak
DJ Dangerous replied to DJ Dangerous's topic in Photos & Videos of the Prototype
I’m not great on helicopter models but it looks to be an AgustaWestland AW139. https://www.vesselfinder.com/es/vessels/details/111224501 https://www.myshiptracking.com/vessels/helimer-201-mmsi-111224501-imo-0 https://www.helis.com/database/cn/4227/ I like the older ECS branding a lot better. If only there were a model railway company out there who had the power to launch a range of non-fuzzy 45’ containers in both O and OO gauge… Oh well! Passing the Chio roundabout on the way to the vets yesterday evening and saw a Hamburg Sud 45R1 reefer, no. SUDU-8116531. -
Lima (Murphy Models) Mk2 Galway Coaches
DJ Dangerous replied to Ironroad's topic in For Sale or Wanted
That’s a fabulous price, specially given how much they usually go for on eBay. You’re talking hundreds. Great to see some non-gouging prices lately. -

Great find, @Anders112! So this is the livery that CIE weren’t happy with when the locos landed? And is represented on Murphy Models 088? -
In real life, did the Dutch vans receive their twin white stripes prior to, or during, the rebuild for use with the Vic Berry Mk2’s?

Shhhhhh, don't tell anybody or I'll be fired!

Maybe I got that set, who knows?

Barbados??? Surely you mean Canarias! -
Lovely, and nice to see the "shy" side of the layout, too.
-
What a scene! Great to see Concorde out and about, too.

Love those TK repaints, @ttc0169. The TK cabs that I have seem incredibly low, so I'm relieved to see yours look the same as mine. -
Great to see the update, @LNERW1! I have had a very similar loco and coach for about four decades now, and still cherish them. Looking forward to more pics and videos. As you can tell, literacy is not a strong point for me.

I thought it was just lens distortion making the angle appear a little steep. You could always put the building-end of the canopy on stilts as well, and have it sit a fraction higher than the roof itself, if you feel like making an adjustment. The canopy piece, from design through construction to finish, is top notch!

Where are the photos? This was one of the hottest topics on the forum this week, yet all I can see are words. Everybody knows how many words a photo is worth!

You definitely don’t suffer from OCD… It’s the one clean windscreen and one dirty that are driving me insane.
