We Surprise Nobody With A Nifty Class 50 in 00/4mm
DJ Dangerous replied to Warbonnet's topic in British Outline Modelling
Browsing the Accurascale Project Status Page, and the Class 50's are showing as in-production, and expected this quarter... That's probably a little optimistic? -
Some amount of work in that! Adding an additional cross-member, or several diagonal cross-members, will add rigidity, and hold the sides where you want them.

I see that Shapeways are coming back, in some form. https://www.shapeways.com/blog/shapeways-marketplace-update Hopefully, we'll see a return of the Irish O Gauge stuff - I wanted a 141 body before they went bust!

You're all way off. It's an O Gauge 22' container flat. -
New Murphy Models 071 Class Locos Likely in 2024
DJ Dangerous replied to DJ Dangerous's topic in News
So plenty of time to get the 22000's paid off before the 071 bill is due. -
I beg to differ:

Nice find, @Darren.d. They usually go around the €100 mark but I have also picked up a handful of UK variants over the past few months, all from eBay. I'm sure we'll see IRM run them one day - @BosKonay wouldn't have sold his IE ones otherwise!

Well worth a drool. Premium Classixxs Scania on the wish list. The O Gauge stuff can easily be overlooked but it's fabulous up close and in person.

New Murphy Models 071 Class Locos Likely in 2024
DJ Dangerous replied to DJ Dangerous's topic in News
Bit of 071 info from The Lawyer here: So early to mid 2026 would seem probable. And more freight grey 071's, yay! -
Would you hurry up and hit 70, please? I want my 22000!
-
I'll take the whole batch! *Runs off to set up an eBay account to re-sell them through*

Absolutely top notch advice from @derek, not just for modelling, but for so much other stuff in life. Set yourself arbitrary deadlines and you'll disappoint yourself repeatedly. Relax and enjoy the hobby in your own way, and in your own time.

It's quite simple. 20% of £20 is £4, plus an additional 40% in the small print to cover that (in)famous £350M per week hole in NHS finances, so that's £12.

In theory, yes, but I don't think they've bothered enforcing it before - wouldn't have looked good if people knew it was a "BrExit Benefit"... Royal Mail website says:

Rails of Sheffield have had these three 141's languishing at £170 GBP for months now, not selling: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-irish-rail-class-181-ie-orange-192-diesel-locomotive https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-irish-class-141-ie-orange-146-diesel-locomotive https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-irish-rail-class-181-cie-black-b181-diesel-locomotive Rails don't remove the UK VAT on pre-owned items, so the price will be higher when buying from Ireland. Reference screenshot attached.

Noticed this on the Murphy Models website earlier, regarding the Mk3 Coaches: Screenshot attached for reference.

Yup. MM5604 and MM5608.

No words necessary. The Editorial Salvat (some shops call them “Edicola”) O Gauge Scania 143M, snapped up from eBay a few weeks ago. Labelled as a 142M on the box. Product ID RGN0E807. Drooling heavily is permitted.

Be nice to have one of these to run with IRM's 22000's.
