  1. Quick bump, as I see some of these coaches going for more on eBay.
  2. While these crackpot conspiracy theories and sovereign citizen movements drive me crazy due to the lack of analytical and critical thinking, maybe we should have a little thread where those who wish to ramble can offer their theories for scrutiny by the level-headed. The way I see it, if you don't like the law of the land, you have four options. 1. Break the law. 2. Respect the law. 3. Get yourself elected and change the law. 4. Move somewhere else.
  3. Wubble U - Petal! What a blast from the past!
  4. I like the magnetic bufferbeam idea on the Cavalex Class 60. Not sure how durable it will be, but it's certainly a nice innovation:
  5. It's getting warmer now, so we're into the time of year when the larger ones start flying.
  6. Afraid that one's above my paygrade! I think so, but don't want to misinform you.
  7. I feel you there!
  8. I am open to correction here, but I think that people either used custom LokSound decoders or MM 121 Class decoders for the original run of 141's. There were other options, too, and Bachmann even released their own non-sound decoder, but the previous two seem more common. The new 141 sound decoders should work, if you install a speaker, as the original batch had no factory speakers. They just won't be covered under warranty. EDIT: This is the thread I was thinking of on the original run: https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/1270-141181-class-and-best-bachmann-decoder The original Bachmann non-sound decoder was item 36-554.
  9. @Darius43 has completed a few CMAC models and they look good once done. Forum member @m0rris is the one behind CMAC Models.
  10. Have a look at this thread, @clehap.
  11. @Dempsey recently posted pics of a circuit board upgrade on one of his US locos. Maybe he can help out here, or offer some advice.
  12. Photos aren't as high quality as yours, but will probably suffice:
  13. Excellent models, these two, and good on IRM for picking them up!
  14. Those Hornby Genesis knockoffs aren't half bad. Picked one up, and while not 100% up to Genesis level, it's not far behind at all. Also quite sure that @jhb171achill told me that one of the Hornby liveries is a dead ringer for an Irish livery. LNWR or LSBCR maybe?
  15. “God damn street racers!” “Street’s closed, pizza boy, find another way home!”
  16. While snapping that R34 yesterday, a little imposter sneaked in, a 1:64 Stagea thinking it was also an R34…
  17. What's wrong with Aer Lard? Aptly describes a lot of passengers if you ask me... Can't find any other way of combining those two names, nope, it's beyond me.
  18. My biggest wonder is whether Run 2 will be branded AccuraSis or GeniScale...
  19. Look what the cat dragged in the other day… Big thanks to @Garfield for all of the help getting these ordered, and @MOGUL for making sure they arrived, despite Shopify falling apart and being useless.
  20. Cheers, @Rob! Not railway related but I do love my rally cars… Speaking of, say hello to Solido’s Calsonic liveried R34 in 1:18:
  21. That 800 Class looks excellent, @Killian Keane!
  22. I want to click the "Like" icon, the "Laughing" icon, the "Agree" icon, and give you a medal. Whiff of @Fowler4f and his many profiles off that cross @Crossley introduction. From speaking with Rails on and off, they sound like they have their hands full. Maybe they should have just cancelled the whole Genesis project to apease the one or two moaners, and to Hell with the rest of us...
  23. Now I get the post in @Metrovik's thread! Where are the blocks and ply gone??? Are these two seperate lines in the garden, or the same track re-purposed for the temporary test loop? Looking forward to the videos either way, great stuff!
