Urgent Help Needed with IRM Catzilla DCC Settings

Looks like it's charging, to me. One word: -
Always a way!

I’m probably compensating for something.

Urgent Help Needed with IRM Catzilla DCC Settings
DJ Dangerous replied to DJ Dangerous's topic in Letting off Steam
Although, before ordering one of these for yourself, I feel obliged to caution you that vital maintenance is not always easy to perform: -
Oh, and this was the beauty lurking in the background… If only I could get a few 1:18 Cement Bubbles to display with this monster!

The first of those two EG Civics. Not as crisp as the releases from Tarmac Works and Triple9, but for a fraction of the price, it’s pretty nice!

Lovely work, @Railway Lyons! Love the 47.

Urgent Help Needed with IRM Catzilla DCC Settings
DJ Dangerous replied to DJ Dangerous's topic in Letting off Steam
But, to be clear, I don't want to mess up the CV settings too much and end with an out of control monster like this: -
IRM sent me an engineering sample of their forthcoming Catzilla release. Seems to work pretty well out of the box but I can't get the volume any lower. What CV settings should I try? Image attached for reference purposes.

I haven't the time nor space to run it in right now, but first impressions are good. The detail is top notch, and I love the way it was screwed to the plynth in the packaging. Great way to ensure no movement, while simplifying the packaging. The videos on YouTube seem very positive, as do the YouTube comments, and the sound! Mine is the basic DC model, but the sound models featured on YouTube are something else.

Possible Warning about Murphy Models Counterfeit Goods
DJ Dangerous replied to WRENNEIRE's topic in News
So, it would seem that the threats made towards Murphy Models' own customer base are relatively empty. For anybody doubting the veracity of @Der Rechtsanwalt's post, I suggest you run his / her username through a translator! -

Just wondering if anybody else has come across Cavalex over the past year, and what they think of the models?

You Can't Beat A Bit of Bulleid - Open Wagons Next For IRM
DJ Dangerous replied to Warbonnet's topic in News
Brilliant stuff, @MAL! This is what I was wondering about for future Bulleid runs, future loose-coupled stock and future brake-vans. If the buffers were applied in the factory, but were friction-fit or NEM-pocket-style clipped in, rather than glued, and mounted on a reversible rectangular plate, IRM customers could then pop them off to swap them around as needed. You want to run an IRM brake-van coupled to an A or a Park Royal? Run it straight out of the box! You want to run that same IRM brake-van with the Bulleids? Ten seconds to swap the buffers around and you're sorted! -
I'm happy to volunteer some of my time and sign up if it's a bit boring for you on there. This: "We have people who find sport in causing issues - one chap is adept at posting ambiguous comments, then claiming that he meant the less obvious version, when challenged." And this: "People sign up to start arguments, then sign up again to agree with themselves." ...had me in tears! You sure you're not talking about our own forum?

Love that 50!

Quite possible that some of our members either don't remember, or never experienced, the pre-social-media days of well-moderated internet fora, and the inevitable consequences of unmoderated chaos. God bless those internet cafes.

There's something very ironic about this whole thread, that I can't quite put my finger on.

Lovely stuff, as usual, @ttc0169, even if it's a few hours late. Tara Junction looking wonderful, and a great selection of stock, showcasing what a great year it's been for modellers - so far!
